If you are aware of any potential refugees from other towns whom we can interview in Jordan, please contact Mr. Rakan Mahmoud at +962-79-661-5275 with your information. Currently, we are pressed hard to interview people from towns that we have not yet covered, your help is CRITICAL since time is our main enemy.
Help preserving our history and culture for future generations. To make it easier on you, we have authored a training manual and a list of questions. We suggest studying these two documents carefully, then use any available technology (such as video camera, digital recorder, or even regular tap recorder) to retain Nakba Oral History as much as you can. Once done, we will be more than happy to post your work at the site after crediting you completely for your work.
We are in need of people who have the time and patience to carefully listen to what is spoken in the interviews, and to rephrase it to traditional Arabic (Fus-haa). Then the manuscript has to be typed in Arabic text, which later should be translated to English. It should be noted that you will be COMPLETELY credited and your work shall be published next to each transcribed interview.

انا بشكر الحج صالح وشاح على هذه الكلام الجميل وتحية لكل دار وشاح وفي الوطن والشتات ابن بلدكم وقريتكم العفاوي نبيل النجار - رام الله
من ابناء الوشاحات في مدينة السلط الى عموم ال وشاح في بيت عفا وفي كل مكان وخصوصاًاشقاؤنا في مخيم البقعة لكم منا احر التعازي بفقيدنا المرحوم باذن الله الشيخ صالح وشاح املا ان يتقبله الله برحمته ويسكنة اعلى مراتب جناته.والى حفيدة المرحوم لك منا الاحترام والتقدير راجياان تؤكدي لكل من حولك بان لك اقارب في مدينة السلط همهم القضيه ومناهم العودة والوحدة القومية.
اشكر القائمين على هذا المشروع العظيم بتسجيل تاريخ فلسطين لجميع الاجيال . وادعو الله ان يتغمد المرحوم الحاج صالح بواسع رحمته وان يسكنه فسيح جناته وان يرحم اموات المسلمين جميعا. وادعو الله ان يذكر ابناءنا بشهداء فلسطين القدامى ومن اهمهم عمي محمد ابو سالم الذي سطر ببسالته اشهر العمليات الفدائيه داخل معسكرات العدو ..جعله الله في اعلى مراتب جناته . وشكرا لكل الزائرين لهذا الموقع .
اشكر لقائمين على هذا العمل العظيم انا ابنة الشهيد محمد حسن ابو سالم الذي ورد ذكره في شهادة الحاج صالح وكان من قدامى المناضلين الذين عملوا في الثورة ودافع عن فلسطين اسجل فخري واعتزازي بوالدي وبخالي الحاج صالح كل المناضلين الشرفاء الذين يحملون الوطن في قلوبهم وضمائرهم انه وعد منا لثرى فاسطين ان تبقى في القلب مهما ابتعدنا هي الاقرب لنا تعيش فينا ونعيش على امل ان نلتقي
خالي الغالي رحلت دون ان تتحقق الاماني وما استطعت ان تعود ولا ان تطأ قدماك ارض بيت عفا او ارض فلسطين رحلت وبقيت قضية الاجئين لكن اترانا نعود اترانا نرجع يوما الى حينا ونشاهد ارضا ووطنا لم نراه ولكننا من خلال كلامكم عشقناه واحببناه نحبكفلسطين ونشتاق يا بيت عفا
