لعدة اشهر لم يسمح لاهل القرية بالعيش في بيوتهم واُجبروا على المعيشةعلى الشارع المعبد. وعندما هذا لم يحبط اهل القري من هجر البلد، قامت القوات الصهيونية على تطهيرهم العرقي بالكامل. قبل تهجير السكان خيرهم الاحتلال بالهجرة اما الى غزة او الى الخليل والكثير هُجروا قصراً للخليل.
