Town's name through history
The Crusades built in the village a castle known by Geladia with which al-Jaladiyya was identified.
Schools
al-Jaladiyya had a school located in its Mosque, and when it opened its doors in 1945 it had an enrollment of 43 students.

The village had one mosque constructed in 1890.
