We live in a society where they use scare tactics and this keeps alot of people quiet. I cannot continue to stay quiet. I would like to know how we can all stand in solidarity to stop what is happening to our indigenous people world wide. We are dealing with a very destructive system that seems to have no compassion or empathy. The total destruction of the palestinians and their land, their homes, is horrible. We watch the news in our quiet little homes and take for granted alot of what is being destroyed out there. Canada , of course will be allies with any country that is destroying a race. I am aware of what canada and israel is doing. I am not stupid in recognizing that these two allies are moving in the same direction and destroying and extracting from our land. The palestines have my prayers and i will bring all this to the sweat lodge which is a powerful ceremony my people do. I am quite aware of some of the issues palestine is facing. We as indigenous people are pushed into poverty, lied to and told we have rights when in reality we loose all our freedom. I know this, as an indigenous woman of this occupied land "canada". Please contact me if anyone has any ideas or way in how we can help. We also need to focus on bringing the voices of palestine to canada. Be not afraid, if the right contacts are made, then your voices will be send out. We also need to see a centre open here so that people can find each other and keep their traditions and culture strong. We have been taught to hate and despise one another, we have so much in common. This ethnic cleansing is to white wash our minds to think a certain way and to control us. We need to break free and self identify with ourselves. I know that is what i am focusing on as a way to bring awareness of what is happening world wide. Our indigenous people have to keep in touch with each other so that we can assist and help. But we need those who are genuine and honest and love their people and are aware of these issues. Palestine is a strong and powerful nation, you've already won the war, but those who have lost are coming at you with their guns, bombs and pushing you further into poverty and despair. We , as indigenous people are quite aware of what is going on, but the government got smart and used our own people against us. He use poverty and the residential school system, which still to this day has a destructive affect on my people. If you are interested in knowing more about some of our history, go to google and type in "hiddenfromhistory.com and you will read some of the horrifying stories that took place with my people and the sad thing about all this , is it is still going on and no one is doing or saying anything about it. We become over medicated, under medicated, misdiagnosed, labled, mistreated and used as guinea pigs. And in a country as rich as canada, our people are living in poverty, homeless on our land, dealing with all the health problems this white system has brought upon us. Then they destroy our land, our traditional territories, our water, our deer, moose, fish and all our wildlife. Our people are getting diseases we have never had before. Yes palestine , i know exactly what israel is doing to your people, and canada is lying in the same bed with israel. Stay strong as we have. They have been trying to kill my people off for years, but i still stand here, a full blood, and i look at my history and embrace what is taking place and this is what will make my voice strong, just as this oral report you are doing for your people. Some here might want to add facts tothat blog. It is asserted in Post # 92 that the Israeli actions in 1948/49 were not genocide, but were ethnic cleansing. Since ethnic cleansing is so far undefined, one must examine the intent and the actions, particularly with regard to Article II of the Convention on Genocide. If the intent and any of the criteria of genocidal action are met, then the action constituted genocide and a definition of ethnic cleansing becomes unnecessary. Now, was the intent in driving out the Palestinians committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such? It seems clear that the intent was to destroy the Palestinians within the territory that Israel sought to occupy. The specific acts of genocide are specified in Article II: a) Killing members of the group; (b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; (c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; (d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; (e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group. One must then ask whether members of the group were killed; whether serious mental harm was inflicted; whether conditions of life were or are being inflicted to bring about the destruction in whole or in part of the group. The criterion of forcible transfer of children to another group seems to reflect questionable drafting. To forcibly transfer a family implies the transfer of children. The additional phrase "to anther group", seems misleading. In the context of the statute, this may be interpreted as to another national group, e.g., Jordan. An early posting mentioned the "exclusion of certain other villages", i.e. those where the inhabitants were massacred. It should be evident that these criteria must be established or refuted before one can validly assert that genocide did or did not occur.

OUr history reflects the white man's perspective. My people have been struggling for many years in this land they call canada. Our government spoke out about all the abuse their system subjected my people to and the policies of genocide they implemented within their system. He apologize but he did nothing to change these policies that protect them from what they have done and continue to do to my people. I believe policies of genocide have been implemented world wide to all our indigenous people. I stand in solidarity with my indigenous people all over the world. I am a first nation woman and have just now found my voice and my eyes are open to witness the killing of my people, and it continues. The palestines are a strong nation, with this document you are working on, it will stay alive and strong and bring strength to your people. I commend you on the work you are doing and continue to do. I hope to stand and speak out to bring awareness of the injustice that is taking place on our mother earth, with all our indigenous people around the world. We are all facing the same problems. OUr land, our rights, and our status as indigneous people are slowly getting lost in this colonized system.
