"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter" SOMEDAY WE WILL BACK...

Posted by Bushra on OCTOBER-6-2002    ID#=3219

It hurts to keep remembering we were in such a lovely land. We as in my dad and ancestors, as for me, I never saw it. Nostalgic pictures of my late father's school remind of stories of childhood and family in those days ... "Ayyam el-blad".

Being so fara away physically, I still have a strong sence of belonging..." Home sweet home" is shouts sadly.

Assalamu 3alaikom...
Today I almost burst into tears when I accidentally came by this amazing website ( PalestineRemembered.com .

I read Mr. Sabri's articles and I only wanted to say BarakaAllah Feek wa salemat yomnak (God Bless)... I'll put this site in my favorites and will keep following up if any changes happened. Moreover, I will send this link to every Jundi I know or even every person who traces his or her origins to Al-Mansi...
For those of us who were doomed by not seeing Al-Mansi(the younger ones), we say that it will never leave our minds and hearts and we will always be from Al-Mansi and it will always be ours.

May we see each other there...

Warm Salamat to all:

I thank Dr. Al Khalidi for the efforts he has put in this great project, and would like to invite every one who originally comes from Al Mansi (my home town) to take part in this project, specially that the elderly who are living today and who have lived and know Al Mansi are very few . .

Let's bring back those memories about our home and build up a clear and undisturbed image of our hometown for our generation and the generations to come to read and understand the truth about the place where we come from.

I'm a Palestinian born and raised in KSA, and no matter where I was born, no matter how long I have been away, I will always long to RETURN to my land and my hometown, proudly from al-Mansi.

The loss of al-Mansi, like the loss of any other part of Palestine, was by all means a loss of our right to live in dignity with all our due human rights.

Al-Mansi is my home village
Since al-Mansi's occupation in 1948 by the Jewish terrorist gangs, the Haganah & the Stern gangs, we were all ethnically cleansed from our village after living there for hundreds of years.
According to those who visited the village site after the 1967 war, al-Mansi is a RUINED place, full of jungles and Israelis made few Jewish colonies around it.
If any person has any pictures or documents about our beloved village, please do not hesitate to upload it to this website.
Salamat.
