Town's name through history
Kudna was known to the Crusades by Kidna.
Archeological sites
Kudna contains remnants of a Crusade fort, the foundations of buildings, previously inhabited caves, cisterns, and about a dozen khirbas lay in the village vicinity.

According to the Palestinian historian Walid Khalidi, the village remaining structures on the village land are:
"The houses have been reduced to levelled debris hidden beneath an overgrowth of wild vegetation. One can see the stones that served as fences for home gardens."
