I am Palestiniane (from Walaja), Jordanian & Canadian citizin,
In the old history they say that an Arabic women asked by the public which one of your sons the closes to your heart.
She said the young until grow up, the sik until recover & the abroad until return back home.
And I say that our home, Palestine is sik, young & abroad.
It is the closet to my heart.

The great thing about this great work(the website) is that it makes every walajian, weather they lived in Walaja or not, weather they've seen it or not, it makes them all want to go and live there, it makes them all proud of being part of this beautifull part of Falasteen.and this is the most important thing, being proud of your roots and believe in your rights to return, thanks again for the great window you've created to let everybody looks through to see the beauty of our country.

Excuse me visiting your website as an outsider to Walajah, but I visited Walajah in October 2006 and have strong memories of its beautiful location and vistas.I live in a beautiful green farming village in Lancashire, UK. Every day I think of Palestine and work for Palestine - campaigning, writing letters to MPs, giving talks and power-point (with pictures of Walajah and Bethlehem, giving talks in schools, colleges, churches, about the Nakba, the Wall, Checkpoints, house demolitions. This week Professor Jeff Halper (from ICAHD)is here and we have arranged for him to talk in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds so that people will know the terrible crimes taking place in Palestine.
On Wednesday, 28th November hundreds of people will travel to London to talk to their MPs to ask for an end to the illegal Israeli Occupation. I will go too.
My good wishes and blessing to all in Al Walajah, especially the little ones, the innocent ones, the children. One day there will be a Palestine flag flying high and proud on Al Walajahs hills and on all the hills of Palestine. Anne Candlin

To Al Charcha with Love

memories come and go
leave heart in pain and hope
but homesickness never dies
keeps hope alive
be ready to throw a stone, we are on Charch now
it time now for the past-times
no running away
it is your fate
just throw a stone, you are on charcha now
all whom you loved passed away
no time for agony
just live it, dont leave it for cahnce
throw a stone, you are on charcha now
Charcha now is full of stones
but no body to throw
just live it and throw a stone
no friends or enemies to throw at
but just throw
make alive your grandfathers' dreams
just tell charcha i am here
to throw a stone
and then die like everything
no matter what you feel
but make your dream true
just throw a stone
you are on charcha for ever

since i was a chiled my grand mother aisha mosa abu shiekha (rahimha allah) used to tell me some stories about ain alhaniya, ain abu smair, ain al balad , and how the tourists come to swim in al haniyah pool, and my mother amnah othman abu shiekha told me that she used to go with here brother baker ( rahmaho allah) to a cave and play with some warms, she had mentiond alot of other places like khalit altha'aleb, alcharcha, and the beauty of alwalaja. all these stories and others were something in the air that was not existing to me until i have seen those pictures in this site,,, i am 33 years old, and honestly this is the first time in my life i feel that i belong to a land somewhere in this earth, the worst thing that can happen to anyone is to steel his idintity, inshallah the comeback day will be in our lives ,by our hands cuz its a wast of time to leave this lovely land to thieves from another continent and race

Like any other man displaced from his village in palestine, i live now in an exile ( names are of no importance as all exiles are alike ) but always dreaming of return to the land of my ancestors, land of beauty , liberty and identity.
I was always overwhelmed by this dream, but as time passes on i never give up, on the contrary i feel the dream will become true one day.
It is not that important when we go back to PALESTINE, the most important is not to lose hope and faith in our right of return.
I am not narrating poertry or literature, but telling facts:'PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD HAVE HOMELANDS WHERE THEY ARE LIVING IN, BUT PALESTINIANS HAVE HOMELAND WHICH LIVES IN THEIR HEARTS'
I say something to my WALAJAH : IT REALLY LIVES IN AMY HEART AND OCCUPIES A LARGE SPACE OF HEART, IN ONE DAY WE WILL RETURN TO IT'S LAND AND COMPENSATE HER FOR OUR LONG ABSENCE AND ASK FOR HER FORGIVENESS
