long ago , before 1948 , my grandparents issa and qusta and mousa lived in al-lydd city and also their brothers and cousins all lived there , when the Jews came and stole the land , the kicked out many Palestinians from their homes and lands , and many people felt in danger , so my grandparents (issa and qusta) decided to move to Amman for a week until the situation in Palestine calm down , so they moved to Amman and their brother mousa and the rest of the cousins decided to stay there , so days after days passed , weeks after weeks passed , years after years passed, from 1948 - 2004 this one week still didn't finish , when are we going back to al-lydd? is that gonna happen? my parents were born and my brothers and cousins and now we have a lot of lands and properties in Amman , of course we cant leave the country but do you believe that i still didn't visit my own country al-lydd because of danger and war ? this week didn't finish , maybe after 100 years it will finish and my GRANDCHILDREN will go and live there after i die , its a hard life , i m still 16 years old and i didn't see anything bad from this life , but who knows !
well im sure a lot of people had to leave their homes , and thought they will come back soon and they still didn't , now my cousins and i are separated each one in a county , although Jordan is near Palestine but i still cant go there , i hope i will step on my country , and see the wonderfully lydd
