This photo is facing north and showsnthe centre-right of Ariel with a tall block of flats overlooking Marda - and is built on Marda land. Marda citizens told me they used to plough this built-up land and gather herbs. They also told me that Marda supplied soldiers to Al Salidin and that they were attacked by Crusaders - so definately a very historical village - that was once much bigger. I have many photos taken inside Ari'el and in Marda if you want them.
