Actually, the 'villages' surrounding Jaffa (which was then just the area known today as Old Jaffa) are currently the neighbourhoods of the city of Jaffa. At that time arabs were living in them, as they do today. Tel-Aviv on the other hand was constructed on sand - there was nothing before it. It is true it could not be counted as a city in the first years, only as a neighbourhood, but hey New-York also started as a small fortification. Tel-Aviv rose on land legally acquired, by palestinians (jews living in Palestine were also palestinians).
To "Palestinian":

Yes you are missing something, your comments sound exactly like the lies zionists tell when they claim they made the desert bloom. Well here is an update for you. Tel aviv was built on Palestinian villages surrounding the city of Yafa. These villages had schools, mosques and PALESTINIAN people living in it before the land was taken by jews. It is a lie that Tel aviv is 100 years old, in 1909 immigrated jews took land from bedouins and started building on it with the aim to build a european style jewish city, the construction was later halted and it didnt become a city until many years to come and more Palestinian villages lost to be used as land for the Tel aviv project. 100 years ago, tel aviv was still various Palestinian villages surrounding the city of Yafa. Today, nobody mentions these villages as if they never existed and people buy the lie of tel aviv as the 100 year old city ignoring that it is a jewish settlement built on Palestinian land in PALESTINE just like the settlements built on the Westbank.
Interesting... Telaviv is 100 years old and is known as the first Israeli city. Before Jews created the city the place was just sand dunes. I am missing something?
