I should introduce myself. My name is Jamal Mohamad Atef Ibrahim Maarouf. I was born in Kuwait, 1979. Live in the US right now and who knows where life will take me in the future. One place I dream to go back to is of course our home in Dair el 2ase, even if I work there as a farmer, at least I would know that I am at home.

I would like to thank God that I got the chance to see all of your wonderful work on this site. This website is sooo priceless. السلام عليكم اولا احب ان اعايد على جميع اهل قريتي بمناسبة عيد الفطر مع انه كان من اصعب الاشهر لفقدان اعزاء اولهم زوج اختي داوود أحمد ضاهر الذي وافته المنيه في السعودية .وبعدها بعدة ايام فقدنا عزيزا اخر ابن خالي محمد توفيق علي قاسم الذي توفي في امريكا
وبعد ايام ايضا رحل عنا زوج خالتي ابو رياض (فايق الصادق) لله ما اعطى ولله ما اخذ واسال الله ان يلهم الاهل الصبر والسلوان وان يجعل مثواهم الجنة بأذن الله

I was impressed by the thing Mr. Hani Ali wrote , and the thing I was impressed and got very delighted that i find out that he is the son of my cousin ( Ibin Khale), & thats what make this site very vital and important for everybody to visit and enhance his or her contribution to it.

My greetings to you Hani and my condolences for the death of your Uncle ( Mohd).

What a great pleasure and honour it is to participate in this forum. I can only relate my personal experience as a grandchild of Tawfiq Ali. I was born in Khobar Saudi Arabia but since then lived in Montreal, Canada most of my life. I've travelled the whole world, seen a lot of natural beauty and awsome wonders, but I can honestly say that Palestine and Dayr- Al Qasi remains dearest to my heart although I had never set foot on the homeland. This silent yet strong bond to Palestine must be alive and as strong as ever. It is true that generations come and go, but the sense of belonging to this beautiful land, with its unique history and beauty, remains and will remain forever strong God willing. Let us keep the dream alive, we shall return one day to rebuild WITH PERFECTION and make Palestine the envy of every free nation.

I'm so glad that finally the Dair people can communicate regardless of being thousands of miles away from each other.
I was so fortunate to visit el-dair few years ago. The old school is still there. the house of Uncle Hassan el-braheem is still there and few other houses. they have built a settlement there and called it el-kosh. I have never seen a land that is more beautiful than el-dair. It's on a top of a mountain and when you get there the mountain top is so flat! You can see the the sea to the west, Lebanon to the north and Akko to the south. We have to go back!

It is absolutely mind blowing mashallah , i never thought i would ever hear anything about El Der or Ahl El Der again only to stumble across THIS by coincidence al7amdulillah :)

Hi all my name is lana ahmad marouf, I was so excited when my brother told me about this web site , I never saw my home ( der al qasi) and I؟m originally form there
( deraweye ), my dad ahmad saleh marouf will be so glad if he can see those pictures at the web site , but he can not coz god remembered him before 6 month so i'm so sad coz all I know about my home is just stories form my dad !!!!
