Number of houses In 1931, Sakhnin had 400 houses.
Town's name through history The Romans referred to Sakhnin by Sagane, and during Crusades period it was know by Zakkanin.
Schools An elementary school for boys which was founded by the Ottomans in 1888 in 1942 its highest class was up to 4th grade.
Shrines/maqams Sakhnin contained a shrine known by Maqam al-Sideiq.
Archeological sites The village contains at least two khribats: the 1st is Khirbat al-Shaqat (400 meters above sea level) located southwest of the village, and the 2nd is Khirbat al-Marjam located to the west.
