why i dont show alot of ducoments from al nahr from the member of al naher , we must worke hard to jet the place we want and to jet the freedom to our homeland

حنيني إلى ماض لم أتجول فيه، لأسأل نفسي، هل أستطيع إيقاف الزمن وأعود إلى تلك الأيام، أم لأصحو من غيبوبة فرضها علينا الزمان والمكان، فقطعت جذورنا وفتتت أصالتنا..
اشتياقي إلى قرية لم ألعب في حاراتها، إلى شبابيك الفرح وبيارات البرتقال، إلى رائحة التراب عند الهطول الأول، إلى رجالها الكهل يتكئون على عكاز في دروب قريتي الترابية.
اشتياقي إلى أهلها الطيبين الذين لا أعرفهم، إلى قناديل الزيت المضاءة في لياليها الحالمة، إلى تلك الوجوه التي كانت تشع بالحب والخير.
اشتياقي إلى تكاتف لم أعهد بين أبناء الأسرة الواحدة في السراء والضراء.
اشتياقي إلى طيور وعصافير لم أسمع زقزقتها في أجواء قريتي يقيمون أعراس الفرح بين أغصان أشجارها.
عرفت كم أجرموا بحقنا وبحق الأهل يوم طاردوا العصافير واغتصبوا فرحها.
عرفت بعدما ملأت سماءنا عصافير من نار مزقت صدور الناس، ودمرت الطرقات وجدران البيوت.
اشتقت إلى ذلك العصفور، إلى صوته ولونه وتصفيق جناحيه...
قدمت لمذكرات والدي إحساساً مني بغصة في قلب هذا الرجل كلما قص علينا قصة عن تلك القرية الوادعة في ربوع الوطن المغتصب.

I thank Jawad for his comments about the Garden Of Afifi. Himd sight is usually 20/20.I will appreciate knowing his address. I like to meet him when I next visit Akka.

I would lke to tell you that El-Naher has been completely demolished except for two rooms which belonged to Al-Said family. Concerning the Afify gardens, nothing is left of them apart from two high trees (foqai`a trees). Lately i have visited the place with my cousin and heard many stories about this garden. This place is simply crying. I think you, as one of the leading families there, should have shown more responsibility by staying and resisting instead of leaving to damned Lebanon. Hopefully we'll meet and renew our glory there one day.

I remember Al Nahr from my childhood.Our family had a beautiful home and a garden (the Garden of Afifi)that we use to spend weekends in.A pocture of the garden is available on the web under the garden of afifi.Does any one have a picture of the Afifi family next to the garden ?
