My tears almost drop when I saw my village Zeeb that I always used to hear about from my father, uncles and his cousines. Ofcourse I never saw it as I was born in Saudi Arabia and my age right now 44. I'd like to thank everyone who contributed this piece of art about our country and mainly our village. To all of you Zeebawi villiers although we are not now, let's keep in touch through this site. I know a cousine of mine who's name Adel AlSaadi who's making a web site for Al-Saadi/ Sadeldden and Ataya family. Forgit to tel you that my father name is Hussein and my grand father name is Sadeldden. Hope we keep in touch. Nazih A-Saadi

I am the son of Suleiman Rashid El Saadi my grand fathers are Fadel El Yousef and Rashid El Saadi I never saw Al Zeeb where we are originally from but every time I see pictures or read about our beloved town I get emotional especially when I remember my dad's stories about it.
I am hoping that one day I will get to visit.

Salam, We are originally Saudis. My great grandfather left Arabia for Palestine late 19th century and they lived in Al-Zeeb until 1948. My grandfather and my father have told me lots and lots of stories about Al-Zeeb. I almost know all the names of the families there. My grandfather used to be known as Mohammad Hejazi. We are in Saudi for 50 years and we hold the saudi citezenship but we all still remember our fathers' good old days. My mother's family is from Al-Zeeb and her father is Ouda Qasem Ouda.

I was amazed to find the history of this beautiful small town so tragically destroyed bearing my family's name. I can trace my family back to the sixteenth century in Germany, but I am not aware of the real origin of the family name. It is, indeed, a small world. My mother form Ataya the famouse Zeebi family I hope to returne back to Palestine as soos as possible and see the freedom in all parts of my occupated country holy country Palestaine

Oh my..there are so many people with the last name Ataya! Im so proud to have that last name..and did you see this one pic of Ataya house bel zeeb in 2000? You must see it! الاخوة الكرام نفيدكم انه في بلدة طيرحرفا في الجنوب اللبناني يوجد عائلة عطايا وهي من اكبر العاءلات في هذه القرية وهي بحدود 1000 فرد لذلك نأمل التواصل ولا سيما اننا متن عائلة واحدة وخاصة ان جدي لناحية ابي ابلغني ان اصل عائلتنا في الزيب في فلسطين المحتلة بالقرب من الحدود اللبنانية الفلسطينية

My name is Ane Katrine Zeeb. Im Greenlandic.
I was amased to find this homesite, by looking up ZEEB in a searchsite.
I would like to know more history about the name. Where does it originally come from, and is there any relations between the hundreds of people in Greenland with the surname Zeeb, including my family, and al-Zeeb. I know from my own family, without having facts on it, that our surname is from either Netherlands or Germany.
Do you have any further information about this, i would be very glad if you could write me on my email, written above.

N/B: Thanks for the website administrator for the new post of the location of Al zeeb in google-earth.

I am glad a good number of people from al-Zeeb are contributing to its page on this website. I hope this number will continue to increase.
This will probably present a challenge to other towns to increase their contributions to their towns' pages.
If this happens, I'll be even prouder of al-Zeeb, therefore, prouder of my Palestinian nationality.
Don't you share the belief with me that national solidarity starts in the family and hometown?
