The Martyrs of Buryer
At the night of 12-13th may 1948 , the Jewish troops , attacked Buryer village , A big massacre happened there , were about 100 Martyrs were killed . Here are the names of those Martyrs who were known , and were buried by the Buryrians after the attack .

1- Mohammed Mustafa Ali Hussain (Abo Zaki )
(35 years ) killed during defending the family water well .
2- Abduh El Masry ( 40 years ) ( Egyptian) killed during his attempt to save ( Abo Zaki )
3- Mohammed salman Khayr Edine ( 40 years )
4- Mohammed Ali Issa ( 35 years )
Both were injured , then were killed by the soldiers in front of their old women relative in the house of Al Quwiader.
5- Rajab Yosif El Manyarawy ( 20 years) , killed in Quwaider house.
6- Mohammed Ismaeil Attallah ( 30 years) , killed in Wadi El Saqia ( the Saqia Valley).
7- Abed El Qader Mahmoud Abo Atta ( 80 years ), killed in his house.
8- Al Abed Abo Haikal (60 years ) , killed during his way to his field .
9- Mohammed Abo Haikal ( 55 years ) , killed during his way to his field.
10- Khalil Baker ( 65 years ) , killed in the center of Buryr.
11- Abed El Latif Abo Dayer ( 22 years ) , injured and died in Al Far house.
12- Rajab ؟Awad Hamdan ( 35 years)
13- Sha؟aban A؟wad Hamdan ( 30 years).
Both killed in their house, south east of the village.
14- Serrya Sha؟alan ( 60 years)
15- Maryam Mahmoud Salama ( 25 years)
The two wives of Yosif Abo Hamd, killed in their house, the first was mentally retarded.
16- Mahmoud Mosa El Otol ( 40 years).
17- Mohammed Mosa El Otol ( 35 years ) .
18- Abed El Razaq Mosa El Otol ( 22 years).
killed in their house.
19- Abed Qader Saleh salama ( 18 years).
20- Salama Saleh Salama (40 years) .
21- Hasan Jadallah ؟Awad ( 60 years).
22- Rajab Hasan Jadallah ؟Awad ( 27 years).
23- Mohammed Hasan Jadallah ؟Awad ( 18 years ).
killed in the house of Hasan Jadallah ؟Awad.
24- Musbah Abo Sukhayla ( 45 years).
25- Khalid El Abed ؟Awad (30 years).
26- Hasan Ahmed Thaher ( 40 years).
27- Mahmoud Mohammed Abo Meghnem Thaher ( 18 years).
28- Ez؟eeze Mosa El Khateeb ( 45 years).
29- Mohammed Mahmoud Abo Safiya ( 45 years).
30- Unknown worker from Zarnooqa was working for Abo Safiya Family.
31- Mohammed Ismaeil El Khateeb ( 40 years ).
All killed in Zaweyat El sheikh Abed El Hay.
32- Al Abed Ammona Sabah ( 40 years ), killed in his house.
33- Eid Mohammed El ؟Allol (40 years).
34- Khadra Salim El ؟Allol ( 35 years ) , wife of Eid.
35- Rajab Eid El ؟Allol (5 yeas).
36- Reziq Eid El ؟Allol ( 11 years)
37- Maryam Baker El ؟Allol ( 70 years), Eid؟s mother.
Killed in their house while they were sleeping.
38- Ramadan Ahmed El ؟Allol (40 years).
39- Ghalia Ramadan El ؟Allol (15 years) his daughter.
40- Mohammed Abed El Rahman El ؟Allol ( 30 years), killed in the house of Ramadan El ؟Allol.
41- Mohammed Abo Haza؟a ( 50 years).
42- Halima Mohammed Abo Haza؟a (20 years).
43- Ali Mohammed Abo Haza؟a (23 years ).
44- El Haj El Bally ( 65 years ) from Jabalia, killed in the house of Mohammed Abo Haza؟a.
45- Mohammed Attallah El Fahel ( El Shaikh) ( 40 years)., killed in the Maqalda neighborhood.
46- Abo Atta Quwaider (55 years), from Gaza.
47- The son of Abo Atta Quwaider ( 16 years) , killed in Sha؟aban El Turk courtyard .
48- Hasan Mohammed Hasan El Hasasna (45 years) , killed in his house.
49- Yosif Abo ؟Arqoub ( 60 years), killed in his house.
50- Abed Salam Mustafa El Khateeb (15 years), killed in his house.
51- Salim El Ghazawi ( 50 years) from Gaza , killed in his house.
In addition about 20 volunteers from Gaza and Arab countries were killed while defending the school.
The following Martyrs were killed before the attack:
52- Mahmoud Ali El ؟Arabeed ( 30 years).
53- Mohammed Khalil Sarhan ( 40 years ) .
54- Mohammed Mustafa Abo ؟Awkal ( 35 years).
55- Mohammed Salim Abo El Haj (35 years), killed by mines on the roads of the field.
