I was born in Gaza, but my father was born in Iraq Suwaydan, and he used to take us to visit the village, I recently visited it , it is the same as i saw it 20 years ago, the old person with his gunshot holls in it, but Israelis add some construction in forest, other issue, the village was named by American Jew name as a forest for him in small village, but now in 2007 another village has the the Arabic name of the village with English and Hebrew name.
Still I believe that we have to go back, no one is allowed to sign or authorize to solve our problem without going back

I was born in Rafah refugee camp. My father and mother were born in Iraq Suwaydan, they were so young when they were forced to leave it. I do not have much information about the village but only what they can remember as young kids.

My mother told me that the only school in the village was in their land and because she could not attend the school, she used to sneak in and listen to the pupils while taking their lessons.

When I got the chance to go to Hebron in September 2000, the only thing I wanted to see was my village. I was sitting their staring from the taxi window and does not want to miss a spot. I saw the main road and was sure that this is my village when I saw the famous prison and saw the holes on the prison walls. I could see the lands that my parents used to tell me about that changed now to Israeli's homes.

I would love to know more and more about my village.

I was not born in Iraq Suwaydan but my father was. I have heard a lot about it and I have read about it a lot. I am glad to sign in this guest book. This proves out lost identity.

I was born outside Palestine, but my dad was born there in Iraq Suweydan in 1948 just before the immigration. Its sort of relieve to read about my lost Village. These memories and facts should be the basis of our right of return.

I was born in Iraq Suweydan in 1943, I still remember the village very well inspite I left it when I was less than 5 years old. I welcome e-mails from the people of Iraq Suweydan.
