my last name is Kabara and I have found information that my name is of Turkish decent however I am not sure if this town has anything to do with my family. The last several generations of Kabara's in my family came from eastern europe, Poland to be exact and are Christian. Is it possible that we were once of this town and escaped the cleansing and ran to eastern europe? Is there any evidence of this type of thing happening? I now live in the US and am very curious to know my heritage.
