Great site. I am Ahmad Jawdat Dirini (Al Dirini family). My grandparents were born in Al-Abbasiyya. I remember the many stories that my grandparents told me about Al-Abbasiyya and its beauty. Additionally, I remember my grandmother stories (bed time stories) about her brother Yousif Al Dirini who was martyred on December 13th, 1947. I؟m American citizen living in Seattle Washington and my dream is one day to visit Palestine as a whole and Al-Abbasiyya in particular. Thanks for whom ever put this site together.

Dear All palestinians, assalomo alikom;
I am a palestinian from Al Abbasiyya, my name is Bahjat abdelrahim from Abdelrahim family from Al bataneja.
It was a great pleasure to hear about this site from a relative living in Britain.
Me and my family do apprciate the great efforts put into this site , and we do thank you for the tremendous effort to get the correct information.
I have a small correction , it was mentioned in the home page that AL Abbasiyya had around a 150 Jews, and I believe this piece of information is incorrect and I would appreciate it if you supply me with the reference, but again this is a great appreciated effort and may Allah bless you.

My father travled to europe in 1967 and ended upp in Denmark, married a danish woman" mother" who now speak arabic. Most of my family dont know much about our histori before 1948. My grandfaher told me that he used to go to the sea/beach on saturdays and have fun and look att the girls, he said is was a wonderfull time and place. He became a wealthy man and bougth a new big american car. He told me was some sort of a member of the council in arabic "basra"
He died many years ago in amman in jabal al Hasmi where he lived the rest of his life but he always talked about his

Although i'm not Palestine , I m moved at the patriocity of the Palestinians and how passionate u people are to see your country liberated from the oppressors. We watch every plight of the Palestinians here in U.K. I pray that one day, victory shall be yours. I ran into this site accidentally and liked it a lot. I am also attracted to this website because someone here bears the name of one of my best friends here in U.K.( Abu Halimeh)

When my father showed me the pictures of my grandparents village, I could not help but wonder to how I would react if I saw them in real life. When I first looked at the pictures they amazed me so much that I could not imagine that my grandparents really lived there when they were younger. My parents are Hamid and Miral Mousa, I am 10 years old and I live in Ottawa Canada. In the futre I hope to see the village again.
