greetings to everybody,
I have to say this site was a dream come true, i've never seen so many people share with me my home village al- maghar except my direct relatives of course.My family's name is Hamdan ,both my parent and grand parents from both sides are hamdans.I've lived in Kuwait my whole life and i knew little about my village but recently i've been trying to reach out to my roots. I have so many questions but one of them is overwhelming; are we originally arabs or what , where did we - the people of al maghar- come from???Does any one know the answer?? salam

Al Salam Alaikum,
I am from Al Maghar. Both my parents and their parents are from Al Maghar, so my blood is 100% Maghary. My father is Mohamad ElTaweel and my mother is Saadia Hamad and they are cousins. my grand parents on my father side are Hussein ElTaweel and Fatma Hamad and my grand parents on my mother side are Abdel Rahim Hamad and Nimeh Hamad. my uncles and aunts still live in Gaza, mostly in El Nusairat camp. My parents lived in Kuwait before they left to Baghdad after the gulf war. I live and work in Canada.
May Allah free our land and we go back and re-build our beloved little town with its kharoob and orange and "sabir".

I'm palestinian from Maghar and I'm so happy to find this information and read the guest-book which introduce to me my Cousins. I hope to meet all you in palestine

I am so glad to read about my home town. I lived all my life outside Palestine, therefore it is refreshing to read about my roots and history. My grandfather is Abdul Salam Mohamed Jabr and my grandmother is Watfa Eid, so I am proud to have strong roots from Al-Maghar.

hello everybody, my name is Hadeel Abdel wahab Ahmad Hamad, my great grand father was Ahmad saleem Hamad, Al- mokhtar. my father and my mother are direct cousins, so am proud to say am pure Maghareye:)

MY MOTHER'S FAMILY CAME FROM ALMAGHAR. HER NAME IS SAMIRA ISMAEEL HAMDAN. MY UNCLE'S (KHALY) NAME IS JUBER ISMAEEL HAMDAN. THEY LIVE IN ALNUSAIRAT IN THE GAZA STRIP. I LOVE THEM ALL. MY AUNT (KHALTY) SHE IS MARRIED INTO THE HAMAD FAMILY. THEY ARE ALSO FROM ALMAGHAR. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. MY MOTHER AND I LIVE IN THE USA. BUT INSHAALLAH WE WILL BE REUNITED IN OUR BELOVED PALESTINE. MY GRANDMOTHER IS FROM THE ALOTHMANY FAMILY. MAY ALLAH BLESS ALL OF MY FAMILY AND RELATIVES AND THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE.
