its scientific name is ARUM PALAESTINUM اللوف الفلسطيني.
It grows directly after the first rain showers and mainly amongst rocks and cracks.
This plant is very poisonous that it will be fatal if it were eaten in big quantity.
Nevertheless,it was forming a very good breakfast of the Winter early mornings.
I still remember my mother( God may rest her soul ) when she was cocking the arum in the early morning before the sun rise and how she was serving it extra hot that we were not able to dip our hands in the dish. After that we have to keep silent to listen to the recommendations narrated by our father: Dont chew it swallow it promptly!
Because if it were chewed there will be a stinging taste both in the mouth cavity and the throat.
It is said that it is a crucial remedy of the cancer if it were eaten daily .
