The house of the Jerusalemite Daoud Abdo in Katamon - The two-story building located in Upper Katamon was purchased by Daoud Abdo in 1940. Daoud, his wife, and his three children lived in this house until 1948. The house was planted with flowers in the front yard and fruit trees in the back yard. He also raised chickens, rabbits, and pigeons.

Daoud Abdo was a prominent portrait photographer. Following the end of WWI, Daoud apprenticed in photography with his uncle, the Greek Photographer Miltiades Savvides, and after a few years, he opened his own studio on Jaffa Road opposite the Fast Hotel. His sister Margo assisted him in the studio. He was the eldest son of Saba Abdo and Despina Savvides. He had one brother, Michael, and six sisters, Mary, Margo,Henriette, Juliette, Acrivie, and Katie. The family of Saba and Despina, parents of Daoud, lived in their own house on King George Street. In 1930, he was hired as Master Photographer by the National Archeological Museum in Jerusalem. Daoud married Zacharena Schtaklef in 1929; they had three children, Saba, Katy, and Ted.
