My connection with al-Zawiya is this:- I am a Jew albeit anti-Zionist one. I have family connections with Kibbutz Naot Mordecai under whose cotton fields the village of al-Zawiiya lies. My discovery of this fact was an important step towards my undertaking the work I now do. I am now a director of Deir Yassin Remembered, an organisation committed to the proper remembrance and memorialisation of the Deir Yassin massacre and all it symbolises of the dispossession of the Palestinian people. We regard this as a matter for both Jews and Palestinians. I would be delighted to hear from anyone with connections with this village. Paul Eisen
