The Crusades referred to Bir Ma'in by Bermenayn.

According to the Palestinian historian Walid Khalidi, the village remaining structures on the village land are:
"Two deserted buildings with crumbling walls can be seen on the site ... Part of the surrounding land is used for target practice and other Israeli military purposes."
