This is just a note -to add to our previous message, to say that the summary on Zionism is excellent, if a little too kind to the British, and our false reassurances and the promises we had no righ to make!

We are very interested to read your web site and have found the maps very useful, (especially the very detailed map)as we a publishing a book of experiences, with as many full descriptions as possible of the people, places and events of 1936-48 Palestine, and dedicated, primarily, to the Palestine Arabs. We hope you will find it interesting when it is finshed. It will be called something like "A Palestine Policeman's lot (1936-48)- an impossible one!"

Hi to every one,
What a shame on us, Palestinians, to FIGHT EACH OTHER instead of TOGETHER against the real ENEMY.
For GOD's sake, grow up a bit and direct your bullets against who deserves it AND IF NOT POSSIBLE THEN SIT AROUND A TABLE AND RESLOVE THE ISSUE AMONG YOURSELVES AND THE ENEMY!!!
Again, to the Idiots figthing back in Palestine, I SAY: stop, think and grow up.
One last thing, you know what sickens me? Reading some comments from people across the globe expressing their pity for us Beacuse We Area Fighting Each Other.
We don't need it. We need to show the world how good we area.
Yet all I can see COMING is: " Another Algeria in Palestine"

the atrocities that the jewish state are commiting everyday are unbearable, i am an english protestant, but i have grown tired of my countries support for this invasive force. overtime people will hopefully realise what is happening and stop being blinded by the largley jewish owned media systems in the west, soo many people dont know the truth and facts of what the israelis do. i for one pledge my alleigiance to the arab nations struggle to free palestine
Posted by Rob Barnett on OCTOBER-9-2006 #11741

My name is Rob Barnett and I write from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. I am Jewish, and actually spent several years in Orthodox Jewish Yeshivah Day School. Like all those around me, I grew up affirming and supporting the Zionist beliefs and narrative surrounding this conflict and was a strong Israeli supporter. I discovered this website a couple of years ago and it has been nothing other than a complete shock to me. Having questioned numerous Israelis and fellow Jews, I realize that the harsh critique of Israel and Zionism portrayed here is largely on the mark. To have some of one's most basic beliefs upended is very unnerving and disturbing. But the truth is the truth, and as a responsible human being, nobody has the right to deny it or tamper with it. On behalf of my fellow Jews, many of whom either don't know better or simply don't care, I extend my deepest apologies to Palestinian Arabs and other Palestinian non-Jews for the outbreak of this conflict and for the injustices perpetrated in 1948. But while sincerely apologetic and contrite in heart and spirit I must say as well to those who are understandably upset, grieved, and angry: certain actions are simply wrong, no matter what justfiable grievance underpins them. You must remember this when it comes to terroristic actions. And also, that if, God willing, we come toward a conclusion to this conflict some day, that the welfare and well being of Israeli Jews, many of whom have done nothing wrong, needs to be taken into account as well. Let us all hope and pray for a speedy and just end to this debacle, for a true recognition of the disregard and mistreatment heaped on Palstinians by Zionism and the West, for a meaningful rectification to redress what Palestinians have lost, and for a humane treatment of Israeli citizens as this is pursued. May God have mercy on us all for what has happened.
I would welcome comments and correspondance from people of all backgrounds and viewpoints at [email protected]

In light of what is happening in Palestinian territories, I hope that the current internal struggle between the Palestinian factions not turn into something worse, god forbid and that it is resolved as soon as possible so that we can focus on the real issues and obstacles standing in our way. Is their anything left for us to be optimistic about except for more dispair and pessimism. The government says they will do this and that and fix this problem and so and so but I have not seen anything good come about to improve the situation for the Palestinians since the parliamentary elections. Isn't the current goal of the government supposed to focus on improving the welfare & well-being of Palestinians in light of the circumstances and limitations. We here so much talk and little action being done. As the saying goes "Talk is Cheap".

Does anyone remember Royal Engineers Field Company stationed at a villa, next to orange orchards.I understood it to be called Bir Salem or Bir Salim. There was a large latrine ouside that seated about 8 ! as I remember. We never had a postal address, but we were quite close to the Sarafand base.
Also close to a railway, and a village that had few dwellings along the main road, but did boast a cafe.I think it was raised, with a veranda !Also close to Bir Y'aacov maybe. Its a long time ago,but I have fond memories of the place. If the villa still exists,I would very much like to know.Thankyou for your interest. When I saw the picture of my hometown in palestine I took a deep breath and my mind started to dream of the life that I was supposed to live among the trees ,the houses ,the streets of my peaceful land..
I became a teacher and all what I teach my students is the love of their country Palestine and when I say I teach I mean that they can't leave my class unless they became fully aware of the duty they have towards their country...
I believe that Palestine will always be remembered in our hearts and in our minds and as long as there is only just only one palestinian alive will fight for the last drop of blood running into his body...
I miss to see you my beautiful town..

What an excellent and informative website.
I sincerely hope that we come to see the day when the Zionist infiltration of the World's media is torn asunder.
Then, the true horror of the racist sctions of the Zionist regime will be exopsed totally to the world.
Never lose hope!
There are great changes taking place worldwide.
We must hope that the changes can be made to be for the better.

Thank you for putting together another piece to a very large and complicated puzzle. Trying to understand the Palestine/Israel/Arab situation is difficult to most Westeners because of the long term and continous bias in the Corporate/Pro Israel owned news media(read Chomskys "Manufacturing Consent"). I do not have answers to this situation but pray to G'd that those who would hurt/kill others to acheive what they believe to be their G'd given destiny "think twice". Does a loving G'd really want me to kill? Does the Torah really say that Jews are to kill for a homeland? Laurens van der Post once wrote that,
"Human beings are never more frightening then when they are convinced beyond doubt that they are right!" I hope and pray that G'd brings understanding and empathy to all those involved in this conflict. Peace

I want you to know that Jesus (a palestinian jew) has appeared to a seer in Italy, Maria Valtorta, in 1946 and He told her that the jews would gather for a while in Palestine, however it would not last. To us, who live 70 to 80 years mostly, this injustice seems to be going for ever, but I am Catholic, I believe in Jesus, I believe He was rejected by the people He came for and I believe that He is right. Soon, very soon, Palestine will return to the Palestinians. Jesus is God, is alive, curing, releasing and saving and Palestine will be free! He said so! Read "The Poem of the Man God" and you will see this prophecy in the last book! It made me very happy! God is not unfair, He is Just and Good!

My name is Nikos and i 'm Greek.I 'm telling you this, 'coz i 'd like you to know i don't have any special reason to support the Palestinian cause - i 'm not muslim, i 'm not an arab and, additionally, i really feel deep sympathy for the Jews eliminated during the holocaust (the Nazis killed 80.000 Greek Jews)and the pogroms they suffered in History.
So listen to me if you want.I have studied a lot the history of the "palestinian problem".Jews of course had and have - as all the people on this planet - the right of moving wherever they want and whenever they want. The problem was the ideology of Zionism, that gradually (and especially after the holocaust)predominated among the Jews.A nationalistic, chauvinistic, in many ways racist ideology that didn't ever dictate the equal co-existence, the peaceful cooperation and just sharing of the goods of that land with its inhabitants the Arabs (and if they were "only half a million" at that time makes no difference, for God's sake!!).On the contrary, Zionism proclaimed the conquest of this land ONLY FOR THE SAKE OF THE JEWS, without caring if there were other people there, without wishing any negotiation for a sharing of this land. Not all of the Jews were Zionists. In 1920, only about a 10% of Palestine's Jews were Zionists. But these ones, when they dominated, adopted the target to take for their sake as much of this land as they could with as less Palestinians inside it as they could. This is the problem today too.And it's based on an absolutely paranoid ideology that says "this land is ours 'coz according the bible, here was the...well of Abraham" or i don't know what.Imagine for example the indigenous people of North America, if we suppose they had the military power today, wanting to invade the houses of the modern Americans, take their land, push them away (and kill them or "quietly transfer" them through building walls)'coz that's where...Manitu, their ancient God, had his first home 2000 years ago. This is simple PARANOIA.
As for your words that if the Palestinians wanted just a peaceful return this would be possible, you 're tragically wrong. The Jewish state as it stands today, founded on that sick zionist ideology, would never permit a return of the refugees under any prerequisites:it still wants and aspires the possession of this land only for the jews as it did when it was established.Jews must get rid of this "uber alles" arrogance they 've been taught and understand that Palestine was not "a land without a people for a people without land", as the vulgar propaganda of Zionism was preaching, but a land where they had the right to go to 'coz simply everybody has the right to go to anywhere he wants, and not 'coz this was their "biblical national home" in which they had the only right of inhabiting.
So pay a little more attention to what a few israeli people allege today inside your own society, those who desperately shout "stop the occupation, stop the killings of Palestinians, remove the settlements out of the west bank etc if you really want to enjoy a peaceful existence" and stop listening to your criminal governments' propaganda. These israelis save your honour as a people so far, while gradually, more and more people on the planet turn into your enemies NOT BECAUSE YOU 'RE JEWS, but because of your genocide policies there through the years.
All the best,
Nikos

Hi,

I have read most of the contents of this site.
If the target of this site is to somehow achieve a peaceful solution, you are far from the mark.
This site is more like a one sided propaganda site.

I am for a peaceful solution and a creative way to bringing the refugees back. But that can't be done if we (the Israelis) feel that the other side is in a campaign of deligitimating the Jewish state.

Specifically, all quotes, historical facts, etc. are presented as to show Zionism as pure evil.
Where are all those arabs who supported the Jews come-back?
Palestine was not unpopulated, but a land that in biblical times hosted 5 million people, and today hosts 10 million, was, until Zionism started, a host to a mere half million.
Palestine was a land of emmigration that reverted to immigration mainly because the work of Zionists. And this was also perceived by many arabs.

Long before 1948, scores of Jews were massacred and Jewish villages defaced by Palestinian Arabs. In 1920, 1921, 1929, 1936-1939. Including the erasing and KILLING of all Jews in Hebron, a millenary community. Including the destruction and burning of the antique Jewish community of Jerusalem Old City.

A real solution can be found if we understand all the past, not part of it.
If we feel that Palestinians want to return only because of their land, and not as a way to destroy Israel, the refugees return can happen.

I am neither Arab nor Muslim, but an average American man, embarrassed and shamed by his government's heartless and treacherous actions taken against the people of the Middle East over many years. Despite the never ceasing efforts by our Zionist owned media, I have come to see Zion as an evil disease plaguing not only the unfortunate direct victims of the Middle East, but of most, if not all of, mankind.

My own government has fallen under the spell of, and/or has fallen prey to, the racist and hateful cult of Zionism. The American psyche is bombarded constantly from the many arms of the media with the unrelenting message that Arabs and Muslims are bad, and Israelis are good. It has been correctly said that, "The truth is always the first victim lost in war." If this is so, then America has been engaged in a war for a very long time, a war where truth is also the feared and hated enemy. Zionism is a disease that thrives on ignorance, secrecy, and propaganda, or information distortion. It cannot stand exposed in the light of day, and continue to succeed. The only weapon that can destabilize this wicked aggressor is knowledge and truth, items in very short supply in America's conscious awareness.

People of conscience need a source of knowledge and facts, a place to learn the dark and forbidden truth of Zion, that has been so intentionally and deliberately kept from us for so long, and for good reason. If the American citizenry had knowledge of the ideals and statements made by the Zionist leaders as exposed on this website, there would be an immediate uprising against government officials who freely support Israel with the public's money. Zion stands for everything that the USA has fought against, and died for, in previous wars.

The effort represented by this website must have taken an incredible amount of devotion, dedication, research, sacrifice, and just plain hard work! I am very impressed by, and grateful for this website, and its candor, educational content, and dedication to the truth. I salute the web site's creator(s), and praise the Herculean effort necessarily put forth in order to present a product of this historical accuracy and quality. What better and more fitting monument to the Palestinian Holocaust, and to the never-ending suffering of the innocent Palestinian victims. This reference quality site must be shared with every fair-minded person of conscience, and all those who desire, or need to know the truth. The truth has been too long the victim of this undeclared covert war.

Hi, I wonder when the American people be convinced that their Aminstration are those who created Israel on our own Land. Also
Israel and USA created Terrorism in the World using it against
Freedom Fighters in Palestine & Lebanon. Look at Afghanistan ,
Iraq, Palestine &Lebanon. Listen to your President saying this war
Is against Facist Islam in order to cover Israeli wars. Freedom Fighting
Is legitimate and not Terrorism Mr. Bush. I am a Palestinian Refugee
Who lost his house in Leb. & First house and land in Palestine because
Of American continous support with aid defending Israel. Where is

I am not Muslim or Arab. But it disgusts me that the world can turn such a blind eye to the zionist imperial motives. Everey inch of Palestine was STOLEN from the native Palestinians and ever since, the Zionist war machine was been ruthless in massacring Palestinians. I am with you people 100%, do not give up, jsutice will come. Hezbollah has showed that Isreal is not invincible. It's time will come. Long live Palestine and Lebanon. The Arab puppet leaders will get what the ydeserve in the end.

A free Irishman sends sympathy and support to the People of Palestine and Lebanon, and as we have suffered occupation and terror we can understand your plight. Irish U.N. soldiers tried to bring you peace and justice for 23 years,
and many of them died doing that, and I hope their sacrifices, like yours, will not be in vain.

First off, I would like to say that i'm an American female who is heartbroken. . I learned long ago about the suffering of the Palestinian people. What saddened me was how our media is so one sided in it's reporting of facts and events. It sickens me that Israel has the nerve to want to seek reimbursement from Lebanon for damages, yet, they have destroyed the beautiful country of Lebanon. As an American, i'm disgusted at the amount of money the US Govt sends to Israeli each year. More and more people are FINALLY voicing their disgust. We have schools closing, senior citizens that can't afford adequate prescription drugs, SSI will be extinct, yet we send billions of dollars to Israel to aid in the slaughter of innocent people!! It is wrong, and unimaginable to me! The Lebanese people I have been blessed to meet, are the most wonderful, caring, compassionate people. The Palestinian people have been abused and treated like animals for YEARS!! When will it stop?? When will the people of Israel speak out against their Govt?? When will they feel some compassion for the Palestinian people?? At times, I am ashamed to say I am from the US. We, as human beings, MUST reach out to the Palestinian people and demand equal rights for them. THE TIME IS NOW! God bless and peace to all

It seems like my ideas about the jewish problem are now erased twice by the censorship. There are not freedom of speach in your guestbook anymore. - I suggested that the US president, jews lover Bush can invite all jews around in the world to come and settle down in Death Valley in California and give Palestine back to the palestinian people.
Posted by embarassedamerican on AUGUST-13-2006 #11354

My family is scandalized by Bush and the entire American government, the media, and the American public. I would rather go to jail than pay another penny in taxes to buy more bombs for Israel. It is a human rights violator on par with Kim Jong-Il in North Korea.

Bush claims he is a Christian. He is a dumb, crazy, murderous pig. I am a Christian. You cannot be a murderer like Bush and be a Christian. He does not believe in Jesus, he believes in the Devil. He is so ignorant that before he invaded Iraq he did not know that there are two major sects in Islam, so I know he does not know that there are Christians all over the Middle East. He murders Christians himslef and pays for the Israeli government to do it. Anyone who witnesses and funds the extermination of a people is wicked and if he does not repent he will be judged harshly by the God he pretends to believe in. He gives Israel bombs so it can slaughter innocent children of Palestine, Lebanon, and any other country that be slaves to them.

I blame the US government for the attacks on 9/11. I live a few blocks from where the World Trade Center was. I think what al-Qaeda did was sickening. No one has a right to destroy a life that God has made. Murdering people is not what the great prophet of God Muhammed taught us. But, I also realize that Palestinians, Iraqis, and any people in America's and Israel's crosshairs have 9/11 everyday. I know how bad it is to be at the center of destruction and to have your home destroyed by murders. I hurt for the people who must relive it day after day.

I am a black and Native American. America stole my ancestors from their land. They stole land from my other ancestors. This country was built on the backs of African slaves and on the stolen land of the indigenous people. We cannot sue the American government for reparations to compensate us for slavery and the whosale slaughter of Native people. Somehow, though, Holocaust survivors can sue German companies and Swiss banks for their role in the Holocaust. How is it that my people cannot sue for crimes committed against us in the name of America on American soil, but Jews can sue Germans and the Swiss for things that happened in Europe? Our courts do not have jurisdiction there, America did not participate in the Holocaust. This shows that America values the lives and property of Jews but my people's rights are worthless. There is a Holocaust museum in Washington, D.C, the capital of the US. There is no museum or memorial to the slaves, the ones who were forced to build the Capitol. Again, the Holocaust did not happen here. Yes, it was a horrible period in world history, but slavery was just as evil and lasted much longer. More African families were broken up than Jewish families were in the Holocaust. More Africans were raped by American whites (including the much beloved rapist and racist Thomas Jefferson) than Jewish women were during the Holocaust. No one has a monopoly on suffering, but the world is only interested in the Jews' suffering.

One day, God willing, all oppressed people will be free of evil people like the ones who run the American and Israeli governments. God bless all the Arab brothers and sisters.

To Alaa: The Bi-National state will not have a ``Jewish`` Constitution. The Constitution will be changed. It shoulf be democratic and offer equal rights to all. All citizens would be equal before the law. One government, one army, one police force. One person one vote.

to Akiba Cohen: The Bi National state (one palestine for jews, chrestians & muslims) was what the palestinians demanded before the establishment of the jewish state of israel. how can i "as palstinian" accept living under the rules and the administration of jewish constitution. you've to take in consideration such issue for accepting this idea which personally i've been thinking of it as the only fair solution for both moderated arabs and jewish.

I am an Israeli Jew. I am impressed by the information on this website. I fully support Palestinian independence. The long term solution to the Israeli/Palestinian struggle is a Bi-National state where Jews and Palestinians will enjoy equal rights.
It may interest you to know that the majority of the people living under Israeli rule: Green Line + West Bank and Gaza, is Palestinian (52%).
Two states solution will never work because the Palestinian state would be too small and lacking resources. Only a Bi-National state with equal rights for all will work.
To the Palestinian people: join with Israeli groups that work for a Bi-National state. This is the only real solution to peace in Palestine.

Like many Irish people I have always felt a deep sympathy for the Palestinian people who have suffered so much over the last 70 years. The level of suffering is on a much greater scale than that which we Irish have endured in recent years.

What angers me most is the way that events in Palestine are reported by both the british and Irish medias.
Every murder and atrocity committed by the zionists is justified and excused as "Revenge, retaliation, response"etc.
This is exactly the same language they used to justify the sectarian killings of Irish Catholics in northeastern Ireland over the past 30 years.

Its the age old strategy of "Blame the victim"

On a more positive note I have found your site very educational. In particular I had never fully realised how urbanised the Jewish community is.

I was astonished to see from one of your maps, that although they represent 20% of the population. Palestinians and other Arabs are in the majority over the most of the area of "Israel".

Your in solidarity

I am an American citizen of European birth who feels as an utterly powerless witness to the great injustice that has been done to the Palestinian people from 1948 to this day.The US finances, arms and lets Israel get away with murder. The EU seems incapable of any independent action. The UN has meeting after meeting with no results. In the meantime the killing and the land grabbing continue in Palestine and Lebanon. Contacting my senators and congressmen is an exercise in futility, all you get is a form letter praising our "democratic ally". What can one do except get mad?

I am very impressed by this website. I have been amazed by the denial of the Nakba all along these years. In Israel, arabs are reluctant to mention the Nakba to eachother and to their Jewish friends.Schools, even in the arabic towns and villages in Israel, don't teach anything about the Nakba. Instead we learn about the suffering of the Jews in Europe. I feel that this should be tought in addition to the Nakba.
Thank you for your contribution to the Palestinian cause.

As an American and a descendant of aboriginal peoples who were wiped off the land so that Europeans could have their "Manifest Destiny", I am greatly saddened by what has happened in the Palestinian lands and how here in the US those who should inform us of all sides of the conflicts have failed in their duties and instead parrot the falsehoods of our so-called leaders. I've made it a point to understand what's really happened and am grateful that a site such as this one exists to tell the story of a people who in my country are not understood at all and seen simply as the "other" to be swept out of the way.

Why do you relate palestine and your pro-israel support to the terrorists attack in London and the death of your muslim freind? do you think we support the terrorism? if u do then you absulutely are zionist or an ignorant.

Assalamu Allaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatu..

Again the world close their eyes for what is happening in Middle east.. How can they leave Israel alone 2 just kill kill kill and again kill, murder, slaugter and kill again?? Innocent people.. Not only do US, UK, FN & EU close their eyes, but our muslim fellow countries are also quiet.. WHYYY?? SHAME ON YOU.. One day you have 2 face your GOD and ALLAH will ask you what you have done for ISLAM.. Nothing absolutly nothing.. AT least Hizbollah is trying 2 help Palestinians & Lebanon.. They are not even shooting with missiles 2 kill people.. They send 1000 missiles/bombs inside of Israel.. max 3-5 people were killed.. Israel shoot 1-2 Missiles and 50 innocent civilians get killed.. I wounder why? Israel shoot 2 kill.. The only way I can see peace in Palestine is to move Israel to USA.. They are the only people in the world who love them anyway.. So they can give them some cities in USA.. Most of the Americans are jews anyway.. SO they can switch with Arabs from USA.. and we will have peace.. No need 2 fight anymore.. As long as Israel are in Palestine, there will NEVER be peace in the Middle east.. Why don't they get it?? What is so hard 2 understand? BUSH wake up.. Before you leave your post, make a part of US 2 Israel and all will be happy..
Fee Aman ALLAH..
ALLAH is with the muslims.. It might not be clear in this life.. But just wait.. just wait.. Alhamdulilah.. ALLAHU AKBAR

In 1945 my parents were displaced persons from Eastern Europe, along with many other hundreds of thousands of people from the east, within five years all these displaced persons had assimilated into the societies where they had settled. Israel became a nation in 1948, how come the displaced persons from Palestine have not assimilated into the Arab states where they have settled and why are so many of them still in refugee camps? Is it maybe because they are so undesirable that that's the best place for them?
I fully support Israel's actions, I lost a good friend in London on the 7th July, Oh by he way he was a moslem!

Being British I am aware of the injustices suffered in Palestine and of the (past) British governments part in this.

May I say that most Brits do not share the view of our government, past or present. And despite the ignorance of most people here of the facts (due to restriction of information and attempted re-writing of history) most still support the Palestinian's cause.

Long may your good work educating people go on.

I have finally read the truth and history about Palestine from your wonderful website. I have found myself wanting to know more about Palestine and the current connection between the recent conflict in Lebanon. I feel very upset to witness the level of destruction inflicted to Lebanon and Gaza by the Israeli army and its peoples, and supported by America. After all these years of not fully understanding the Middle East conflict I cannot begin to imagine the sorts of terror, the pain and suffering the Palestinians and the Lebanese people are feeling. My heart crys out for them and I hope more and more peoples of the world find the real truth from PalestineRemembered.com.

I read all these pages with interest.

Since 1976 (when I was 11) I have followed and supported the Palestine cause, although I didn't know the complete history.

This situation seems to raise questions about the Christian connection to Bethlehem and other important Christian sites in Palestine. I dare say, what would happen if Christians decided to settle en masse in Palestine, what would the Jews do then? And why would the Christians care about the Jews - after all, didn't they crucify Jesus??

disclaimer

I am asking rhetorical questions since:

1. I am not a Christian (or anything else)
2. I think Christians have caused enough mayhem by 'settling' in non-Christian lands :-((

I have long wanted to visit Syria, Iraq, Iran, Palestine and Afghanistan; and one day I will be able to despite the terrible conflicts in those beautiful countries!

thanks for this site - I understand even more now!

Murder

The information you just have acquired is shocking and contrary to what we are told by our government. Everything in this e-mail and web-page can be easily verified so don؟t just take our word for it. Take the time to verify it for yourself. Our Country؟s future is at stake. Our country has been hijacked and our nation is in serious trouble. Now there is tangible evidence and yet our government is still lying to us to protect the Bush administration from prosecution for treason. Our government did everything they could to try to stop us from hearing what really took place and how our people died in New York at the World Trade Center. It took a court order and three years of litigation to obtain these audiotapes that our government does not want you to hear. In this web-page are five clips from a surveillance camera that was outside the Pentagon during the 9/11 attacks, and former immigration officer for Homeland Security, Mary Schneider, implicates the Bush administration. Eyewitnesses at the scene speak out about the World Trade Center collapse, and the voices of the rescue workers from audio tape 776923 where a rescue worker yelled out "EXPLOSION!" as his radio went dead and the 26th floor exploded and one of the World Trade Center buildings collapsed. Click here for more information: http://liar-51.tripod.com/index.we.html We need to bring the Bush administration to justice for what they have done to our country and for the murders of our people. Thank you for listening.
