The Rubble and Destruction Talk

There was no one alive left in that building to tell
After it was hit by a missile and exploded into pieces and
down fell
From far away the killing dust and moans of dying people you can easily hear and smell
A man from outside running and in a hysterical fit crying
and shouting this building is mine he yelled
My whole family is in this building under the rubble
now has been killed
Look, that is the body of my dear wife and daughter he
uttered before he fainted and firmly their hands he held
Later, he bitterly shouted, where is my brother, my sister
and where is my dearest son?
Where are my mother and father and how they were just in
a sudden moment passed away and gone?
Losing seven members of my family under the rubble is not
at all easy on me nor fun
Oh God, I cant believe it, where and how can I live after what happened and painfully has been done?
I am not an angel nor a saint and every action has a reaction
and mine has to be a harder one

Criminal Zionist Israelis killed my innocent civilian people and
demolished our mosque and holy shrine
This is what is happening and continuously became Israel daily
routine in Gaza/Palestine
Ah, where is what is so called International Law?
Where are The United Nations and Honest People of the World?
And why do they close their ears and eyes?
Why they never heard our calls for Peace and continuous
suffering and children cries
Imagine dears how cruel the situation we have been in so
many years and you are watching us guys
I wonder, and for how long we will keep wondering and why?

When will Israel wake up and realise it is achieving nothing by continuing its forceful oppression on the Palestinians. And we as Palestinians can get nowhere if we think covering ourselves with explosives will solve da problem simply by itself. Violence will only break out more violence. maybe our reason for doing what we do is justified by the horrible occupation and oppression we are subjected to but da world doesn't seem to understand that. We need to open up our eyes a little more and change our way of thinking and focus on other alternatives. Isn't there something else we can do as Palestinians by using other resouces and the technology we have to educate ppl about palestinians and persuade them that we are being treated unfairly by a so called partner who has violated so many of our rights???
As for Arafat, its sad to know what's happened to him recenlty but I think his time as president has run out and its time for someone else worthy, more challenging and who can do the job properly to be re-elected. We don't need a pro-Israeli palestinian leader and we don't need someone who's not willing to communicate with Israelis at all or to make peace with them because whether we like it or not, we will need to communicate with each other and for peace to exist in this time, we need to except Israelis on our land without losing sight of our vision - an independent and democratic Palestinian home we can return to and acknowledging the right of Palestinian refugees to return back to former Palestine and not just what we will become of a future Palestinian state. That everyone should understand.
Long live Palestine!!! We will not accept to let our fate go down the drains and let our vision remain a vision.

Fifty-sixth Memorial Day of Safsaf Massacre

Oct. 29,1948 was The Black Day, The Day of Safsaf Massacre on which the Zionist Israeli criminals Brutally Butchered more than 70 men and Ethnically Cleansed out the people of Safsaf * the Legitimate Owners of the Land and by force occupied the village. Let it be known to all that we shall never ever forget that day and swear to pass that Memorial Black Day with its savage acts and painful memories to all our young generation after generation with its detailed unforgotten scenes and keep up the cause alive.

Long live Palestine. Our Homeland Palestine is for Palestinians.
For sure we all shall and will RETURN.

* Safsaf is 7 (Kms) north west of Safad/Palestine

I am a Physicist/Patriot that through years of being silent and almost forgotten it is time that I and others like me use our intellect and technology to stand up against a oppressor and rid ourselves of this infection. We are a Legion of many who only wants to live a life of peace and respect for all living things and have considerations for those who are different and look for ways to truly accommodate those who are slow in understanding.

We Shall Remain

Palestinians have no other way
But to remain on their land and stay
Whether alive or dead
We have no choice this is what we always said
We are like mountains planted in our own land
Alive on it or under its ground dead
Ready to die for its holy earth and sand
The question is to be or not to be
Palestinians have no choice but to be.

We shall remain to defend ourselves, land, and right
For generations we have to keep up the cause
alive and fight
No matter how much it will take
This will be continuous without any break
Israelis must listen, open their minds and wake
We believe it is right now, never too late
Palestinians will never give up nor forever wait
Till we build on our land our own Independent State.

Are the martyr attacks recognized as "suicide bombings" by some people benefiting us or hurting us even more? There was a time when I supported them but now it seems we are worse off then ever before and I am not so sure they are helping us at all. Assasinations of Palestinian figures, house demolitions, not a day passes by when an innocent Palestinian dies, destruction of our infrastructure and agricultural lands, more strict regulations imposed on us on check points, in mosques and churches, curfews, increase in unemployment rate and poverty, and most importantly the wall Israel is buildng as it claims it will prevent suicide bombers getting into Israel. This wall being built is the biggest threat to Palestinians today. And now we are in the month of Ramadan, but Palestinians will not even be able to enjoy it because Israel chooses to continue its brutal operations on Palestinians. No Palestinian living in the West Bank and Gaza feels safe.

Why aren't UN resolutions imposed on Israel as they are anywhere else in the world? And when will the U.S begin reflecting on the needs of Palestinians more and stop being 99.9999...% pro-Israeli?

A Whole Nation under Occupation

A Whole Nation in prison suffering under occupation
Not only under occupation but continuous assassination
Not only that but complete destruction and catastrophic situation

Assassination of people, of a whole nation, country and land
Complete destruction of houses, roads, trees even our sand
Zionist Israelis want Gaza and whole Palestine to end burned ashes
Bulldozing houses, trees even roads and killing people in masses
Terrorizing children, women and putting men in prison
Such actions made this daily suffering usual and common
Doesn؟t this come under oppression and horrible terror?
Or is it only terrorism with another new version of horror?

When our case up goes and presented in the united Nation
Always an American VETO is ready there against resolution
Thus Zionist Israelis come back with great pride delighted
Praising what they did and tighten on what they have for sighted From bad to worse, in vain, to make our case a hopeless situation
Coloring our cities and land with blood and black smoke
By employing their continuous lies and false accusation
To end up our country as burned land without people as a nation
And add a new colored definition to oppression and occupation
But nothing can change all Palestinians Blessed Determination.

Great site. All jews who keep on supporting the racist, sadistic state of Israël, who keep on blabbering about 'looking at the conflict from both sides', who still feel 'emotionally attached' to a terrorist, the world contempting state of imprisoners, who keep on turning the blind eye to what is done to the Palestinian people, who still see the state of Israël as a state of ultimate victims fighting 'terrorists', who refuse to speak out while virtually no jew is in any kind of danger from speaking out, all those jews are guilty of complicity to the hideous zionist crimes which are committed in their names and should be very ashamed. Long live the Palestinian people! Sumud!

Occupation=oppression=suffering + misery= INJUSTICE

Our land is not for sale. If the Israelis think we will give away our land without a struggle and accept to become a people without a country, and to seek refuge elsewhere, they are mistaken. We are not an exception. Anyone else in our shoes would have done the same as what we are doing.

I think the website is resourceful and includes significant information but I think the website could be further improved to include other categories.
Does anyone know what is the percentage of Palestinian christians living within the borders of Israel now and what was the percentage of Palestinian christians in all of Palestine before 1948? And I would like to know are Palestinian christians allowed to go to pray in the churches in the Westbank, Gaza and Jerusalem or do the Israeli armies usually prevent them from doing so(or set some kind of restrictions on them)as they do to Muslim prayers who want to pray in Al aqsa mosque by setting restrictions.

Hi. I'm originally from Palestine and although I have never visited it before and do not know so much about my country, I'm truly proud to be a Palestinian and I hope to visit my country very soon inspite of the current situation there.

It is unfortunate that no one understands our situation completely and what millions of Palestinians go through. It is sad enough that we do not have a country of our own. Sometimes I wonder will we ever resolve the continuing dispute between us and Israeli ppl? Will we ever get to establish an independant state of our own where we can live freely on our soil? What will become of the millions of Palestinian refugees exiled out of their homes in Palestine in 1948? Do they not have the right to return back there if they chose to? Does anyone care!!!!

Good description, Jenice. They actually deserve it. But I don't think we should take them lightly, since it is clear that a powerful "authority" stands behind them and mobilizes supporters for them in the Arab and Islamic world. I suggest that as many of us as possible should send them sharp and straightforward comments, but with calm head and "objective" scrutinzation of their opinions and activities.

Dear Sir

I stumbled on you site by chance while I was looking for old palestinian songs and Anashid which my mother used to sing for me when I was a child. I went throughly through the site for over two nights and I shared the search and the pictures you had, with my wife who is a English citizen. It was a period I could not wait to come back from work and read some more.

I highly commend you highly for such a gigantic and informative effort, as long as people like you are there palestine will never be fogotten and remain in our hearts and in the hearts of our children even we live in Disapora.

But I usually had the habbit to say to my kids "next year in Jaffa". If I never will be there, they will be one day inshallah

NB:I put the picture of Al Hambra cinema in Jaffa at my desktop as my fahter was a shareholder in the cinema.

May God bless you, next year in Jaffa and thank you for this rare oppurtunity.

May God be with the hearts and minds of our Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli prisons, and may their demands come true for better living conditions in the prisons.

It has been 56 years now and not a single positive thing has been achieved for the good of the Palestinian ppl and for the good of the Palestinian cause, on the contrary, we are worse off now then we were some 10 years back.

So many unhuman crimes have been committed against our ppl and we have been forced to live in the most untolerable conditions with even the most basic of our human rights denied. Surely the world continues to abandon us. How much more blood needs to be shed and how many more deaths on the both sides till the world interfers and puts an end to the unhuman brutal crimes.

Ignorance will not end the 56 year conflict until ppl start giving credit to abondoned Palestinian rights and the dream of a Palestinian ppl to return their homeland. And not until the U.S stops supporting Israels back, and giving credit to them every time. It is the fault of the U.S as much as it is Israel's but when will the U.S wake up and start showing more support towards the Palestinian cause.

I'd like to say I found this website to be very informative and detailed particularly the pictures, which almost always speak louder than words.I've also passed it along to many other friends who thought it was interesting and beneficial. There were many things I as a Palestinian never knew about until recently through this website.I hope their will be continuous updates and links, and perhaps newer categories maintained such as Palestinian folklore, and a section on the lives of important Palestinian figures in our past and present time such as Edward Saeed and Mahmoud Darweesh.

This is a very informative and helpful web-site. Learning about the horrors that the Palestinians have had to endure for so many years and seeing the pictures of Palestinian families leaving their homes -- being pushed into the sea broke my heart! We were not taught about Palestine in my American schools(1977). Thank you dearest Riad for opening my eyes.

And yes Ramallah, the capital of a Palestinian state....since when did the Palestinians approve of Ramallah to be the capital of the Palestinian state?
Posted by Nadine on AUGUST-28-2004 #7382

I came across this n thought it was hilarious!!!Focus on the precise words of the Israeli soldier.
A Palestinian clerk at Birzeit University quotes the following: (this quote was retrieved from www.jalili48.com)

The most wicked thing I have heard from an Israeli soldier was from the soldier who announced the imposition of curfew on Ramallah during the major invasion of the city in April 2002. He was driving his military jeep around in the streets of Ramallah while shouting from his loudspeaker in a heavy Arabic accent: ¿To the residents of Ramallah, the capital of the Palestinian independent state. A curfew is imposed on you by order from the military commander of Israel.¿ People got astonished by this rudeness, but also astonished by its accurate description of reality.

Hmmmmmmmm, yes an accurate description of reality. After all we Palestinians have an existing independant state of our own OR DO WE REALLY????

Hello to all visitors of this great site.
I am Palestinian from the 48-areas living amongst hundreds of demolished Palestinian towns and villages. And since (1) I am one who grew up inside the Nakba and witnessed the "great rupture" of the Palestinian people and homeland, (2)I am fortunate enough to have access to places in Palestine that other Palestinians would die to see, (3)I am anthropologist in profession and thus used to searching for places, events and life-styles which vanished from the world but are still frozen in their people's minds, (4) I lived two decades far away from the homeland, which made me aware of the profound significance of "the lost paradise" to those who lost it, (5) photography is for me an old hobby that I love and never get tired of... For these reasons I have deliberately taken upon myself the task of providing my sisters and brothers, inside and outside the country, with photos from the destroyed communities in the 48-part of Palestine (among other things)so that they manage to get a glimpse of their beloved original communities. What I hope for, and the only gratitude I thrust for by doing this, is credibility and success in being "your eyes" in your "lost paradise". With this effort I also wish to contribute to regaining your trust and love to your steadfast Palestinian brothers and sisters who remained in the country that you had to leave and you dream of getting back to.
The pages in this site include links to the relevant photo gallery sections in my personal website (links added either by me or by the managers of "Palestine Remembered"), so please go there. New photos will be added as time allows. In the meantime, today I added photos that were taken yesterday (26 Aug.2004) in Tabariyya, al-Tabgha and Hitteen, and weeks ago I added photos from Al-Ja3oneh, Sa3sa3 and 3ein al-Zaytoon. Adding commentary text to the photos takes longer time, however, so please be patient.
Good Luck to all of us.

For how much longer will we continue to be the outcasts in our own legitimate land.
For how much longer will we continue to be a people without a land, without a home, without a country.
The irony in all this is when a stranger asks us where we are from and we say Palestine. The stranger looks at the map and says in a puzzled tone, "But where is that on the map. I can't find it."
We speak of endangered animals on the verge of extinction, but what about us,sometimes I think we r on the road to becoming extinct too. Where will be 10 or 15 years from now. Many ppl living outside have not even heard of the country Palestine.

I recently visited Palestine (Spring 2004), and I had the opportunity to visit the Palestinian Village Of Souba for the first time in my life. I was really overtaken with sadness. Its trees, Sabr, houses, wells & stone walls were echoing their calls for their Palestinian owners to come home. Its beauty & the cool breeze on top of that Jabal,in the center of the village, was out of this world. I have some really good photos of Souba's natural beauty.

Allah has the final justice.

Israel was given to the physical descendants of Abraham these people are the Palestinians. Could Zionists please learn this;someone in Abraham's time follows Judaism later a few centuries down the track a descendant follows Jesus his descendants are Christian later more convert (not all)to Islam BUT they are descendants of the person who followed judaism. Now imagine a zionist right his ancestors lived in Eastern Europe and were Khazars who converted to Judaism. Descent is physical NOT a religious belief/doctrine/ Dismantle the Zionist state and replace it with a state where everyone has equal rights. Sharon is a Zionazi.

There will never be peace as long as the Zionist State remains it should be peacefully dismantled and replaced with a state where everyone jew muslim and christian live together with equal rights. Zionism is a tribulation to everyone jews included.

The Skin of the Bear

"The strategy of Sharon and his generals is simple and brutal: to destroy the Palestinian Authority, turn life in the occupied territories into hell, disintegrate Palestinian society and drive the survivors from the country, not in one dramatic sweep (as in 1948) but in a slow, continuous, creeping process." I've just spent the past 3 hours reading probably only a small portion of your website, and I wanted to tell you that it's been the most informative I've seen in a year of pseudo-personal-academic interest. It's helped provide data to some nagging questions, and the detailed links and references help with regards to confidence. The maps are greatly important - because when it comes down to it, a geographic account clarifies much, and it's a shame since we rarely see it in US media. I also appreciate the deluge of references, especially ones of undeniable veracity, such as the photocopy of a page from Ben-Gurion's book.

Thanks for putting up a valuable resource. Now I have a place to direct curious friends towards. Please keep it up, continue the referencing and most importantly, maintain objectivity as much as possible - the only convincing argument.

What others may consider terrorism in their eyes, we consider a justified and legal cause to fight for. We are Palestinians deprived of our land and forced out of our homeland. We are like seeds scattered everywhere. We are made homeless by Israel's bulldozers daily with no shelter to remain in. Our agricultural and productive lands have been destroyed leaving what was once fertile soil crowded with olive n fig trees and its green landscapes to seem like an unproductive land with some shrubs remaining. We are continually stopped and hassled on checkpoints waiting for long hours- students can't make it to school or universities on time. Our infrastruture is continually hit. We are under curfews, which means we can't be out on da streets after a certain time. Settlements are continuously being built on our territory as land grab shrinking the size of our Palestinian territory which is becoming overcrowded with Palestinians. Ambulances are sometimes prevented from reaching injured persons on time if ever, even if they were dying and needed medical attention immediately or a woman was about to give birth.
As for us we are labelled as terrorsits every time there is what is called a "suicide bomber", but what other choice do we have. We cannot fight in civilized ways as " Israel" does because we do not have an army like Israel to defend us. It is not that we enjoy covering our bodies with bombs or that we enjoy killing others, but it has become da only mean to put fear among Israelis who will eventually realise that if they want security, they must make concessions on their part as we have n abide by the 1967 UN resolution set forth. We cannot negotiate with them because they always have an excuse since it is them who are not ready to negotiate with us. When we did negotiate with them in da past ,we were always short of our rights or we were deprived of land that belonged to us and is considered Palestinian territory according to 1967 borders.

Hi. I m a Palestinian from Nazareth. I was wondering if anyone had more pictures of Nazareth and Jerusalem that they can post on the website. I have never seen my motherland yet I here so many stories of this blessed land. I only get da opportunity to learn more about my country through websites such as this one, friends n relatives living in Palestine, pictures and the media but even thru da media we don't seem to receive da whole package of facts... that is da truth as it really is! I m refering in particular to da Western media. We tend to blame Western public opinion so often because some are pro-Israeli but it is not all to blame on them. The Western public, particularly the American public who is heavily misguided about the Palestinian/ Israeli conflict thru their broadcasting channels as I have seen should have a right to know the truth- the horrific and brutal crimes we are subjected to. How do we expect them to sympathise with our cause whne they are receiving a one sided story. It is also our job as Palestinians, living in Palestine or outside to demand n urge that Western media show the facts n stop showing the pro-Israeli perspective.
THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR US AS LONG AS THEIR IS A JUSTIFIED CAUSE TO FIGHT FOR...

I would just like to point one thing out here. There are in fact 2 distinctly different types of "Jews". The original Israelites only acoount for about 8% of modern day Jews, and have also been persecuted by the so-called "Israelis". The majority of present-day Jews, are actually descended from the Khazarians, an Eastern European people, who were conquered and dispersed by the Russians in the Middle Ages. The Khazarians were all forced to convert to Judaism during the crusade era by their king, when they feared invasion by other Christian or Islamic hardliners. Judaism was a middle ground that both the Christians and Muslims respected and would not intefere with.

Thus it was a political, and not religious conversion. After the conquest and annexation by the Russians, the Khazarians spread throughout EUROPE, and later the Americas. NO KHAZARIAN JEW EVER SET FOOT ANYWHERE NEAR PALESTINE BEFORE THE FORMATION OF THE WORLD ZIONIST LEAGUE. Why would they? In all repects they were white European, wetsernized people. Thus the so-called "return of Abraham's children" is a disgusting farce on every level. If the Superpowers are so keen to give these people a homeland, then Georgia or the Ukraine would be far more fitting.

I will always remember Palestine as it is the birth land of my father and mother. I was fortunate to visit with my mother in the year 1993. I must say that I felt like I was home. I was quite comfortable there.

The United States and Israel are both charged with war crimes when it comes to Palestine, and the U.S. has ignored the occupation for 50 years now. Wake up America are we still the U.S. or are we the United States of Israel??????

WAKE UP AMERICA

Did you Know

Did you know that by the end of 1967, there were only 3 settlements in total (concentrated in the West Bank), whereas now, this figure has risen to 195. 18 settlements have been established in Gaza Strip, and 177 in the West Bank (including Jerusalem)?

Did you know that the climax of settlement activity took place during the Likud term from mid. 1976 to mid. 1985. During that period a total of 118 settlements were established?

Did you know that The Israeli Inter-Ministerial Committee to Examine the Rate of Development for Jerusalem determined that a demographic balance of Jews and Arabs had to be maintained: 73.5% Jews and 26.5% Palestinians. (this is the favorable Israeli situation؟)?

Did you know that more than 70% of Palestinians live below the poverty line (avg. $2/day)?

Did you know that more than 4,000,000 m² of cultivated Palestinian land has been deliberately destroyed by Israel since the outbreak of the Intifada in late September 2000?

My friends was a first? and now - I am
It's terrible cost..my life's exam
Alone, alone and darken sun
Silent high sky, blue cruel star
My beautiful song about my life,
And long way back home - forever in night.
I see my night and have'؟t time -
My doors open wide,
My eyes closed -forever night
I saw your fire, I wake in vain,
I was in desire with you on one chain
And now I say - all will be the same
My faith for your side - forever night

I see it, I see? Crying, silence, blood
Your shape like a shadow..I hear - last minutes depart?
In darkness, in flame, in pain..sadness and death?so hard?
I'm pray to prohibited god.
Black band on your hair - it'؟s sign?
For friends, for enemies, for crazy time.
Between death and life..Color of my band? I choose white?
Ajir, fin, end, nothing؟ I'm ready!
I remember all, my cruel faith,
I understand all, my mighty faith
You really think that my soul will be empty?
No, wherefore this mistakes?
I saw wasted roads, my ruined home.
I saw death so close to me - she left me alone.
Now - I see your smile. Can'؟t you believe in life?
Can I believe in love. Can I stopped this war?
I dream of righteousness coming..but I will die
This unjust world ask for a sacrifice, Why?
Who needed in your death, fallen people on burning earth?
They'll never understand you
Your crime.. your exploit..your faith؟
You call my by name. I'm afraid of red rays
It؟s cut my mind, It's cut my days.
Clouds and smoke on the lone backstairs,
I hear a music in words of my prayers.
I haven؟t time, I must, I can Clouds and flame؟ Forever..my friend

The more I learn, the more I am fascinated with how Zionists have got away with it for so long. The plan was so obvious from the start.
Ethnically, through my great grandmother, I am Jewish. None of us have been practising Jews for generations, but that would not have saved us from the Nazis. (Luckily for my family, they were in England.)
However, as the site points out, the conflict would still have existed even if both sides had been Jewish. This is about land theft, the dispossession of a people for no fault of their own.
Like one or two of the Jews quoted on the site, I think that the suffering Jews have experienced has taught some Jews wisdom, (for example those who supported the civil rights movement in the United States) but has taught others only how to oppress others. The Palestinians, as I saw the Palestinian envoy write once, have become the Jews of the Jews, expelled, shot, tormented, confined to Bantustans and camps, and treated as outcasts in their own land.
That is totally unacceptable, and peace will never come unless justice prevails, which means the right of return, a proper state with a port, an army and a capital in East Jerusalem, full civil rights and compensation for the long years of suffering.

All real people are beautiful and peaceful with appreication and celebration of differences of their brothers, sisters and ancestors because its seperate and collective intereptations of love and wonder of all life. Black Elk said the center of the earth is the sacred mountain (in northern usa) but the sacred mountain is everywhere.
So is Palestine, Haiti, Africa...
One visitor wondered why the Isralie gov. became so efficient at killing.
Individual people become dysfunctional and eveidently also collectively, becoming exactly like what they are fighting against.

I don't know who hear from one side or other ,among all passed years one side ignored was the palestinian side .
No fair equal education or economic support was supplied by Israeli goverments ,
We hear about kill and kill and kill of poor weaponless people .
Palestine was peaceful country occupied by non responsible british troops , and handled to cattles of collected army with support of British crown and army they become stronger day by day because of their weapon and because of inocence of Palestinians who try to defend through simple weapons ,
Jewish , Christians and Muslims were live in Palestine in peace before those theafs came and stole the smile from children's face.
There is no justification to say that one side to hear from another if the fact is clear like a sun in clear sky..

Well, here's something rather interesting. My little brother just flunked a "history" exam at school, which was primarily on "Israel". I checked through his textbook and found some of the most racist, revisionist propaganda ever committed to paper. Such gems as "the Palestinains never came to the Middle east before 1900", "the Jews have an inherent right to all land west of the Jordan" and other stuff suggesting that the Palestinian "terrorists" started the 1967 war. The reason he failed was he wrote a less extremist essay on this, and had to see the principal. The point ehre is that we live ina s supposed Western, christian democracy, yet are kids are being brainwashed and indoctrinated with this racist, hateful bullshit from a very young age. I urge everyone to challenge your kids', siblings', nephews' whatever's schools and the syllabus if they continue to propogate this fascist nonsense. You can't fully blem some bigoted pro-Israeli person who has been force-fed these lies from birth....................

I am so glad I found your website. I live in the United States and far too many people here are indifferent to the plight of the Palestinian people. Far too many even support the racist and brutal treatment of the Palestinian people at the twisted hands of the Zionist occupation of Palestine. I was not old enough to remember a world where the Palestinian people had their rightful home but I will do all I can to fight for my government to stop supporting that horrible, fascist Israeli government, especially it's disgusting Likud party. If anyone is reading this and is in eastern Pa and needs help organizing something or raising money please contact me. I am poor but I have experience in grqassroots organizing/fundraising.

Assalamualaikum. I'm a 17 year old girl from Malaysia and have been keeping up with news about Palestine for 3 years now. This site was helpful indeed in my researh for a school project in which I gave some talks in class regarding this serious matter. My intention was purely to help bring to light this issue to my mostly-ignorant peers and I want all Palestinians to know that you are all constantly in our minds and our prayers. I would also like to stress that I know not all Americans and Jews support the inhumane atrocities planned and headed by your Government. To the people of Palestine, you are the bravest and most strong-willed people I know. Keep up the good fight, you will come home again.

I am a middle aged american. When I was in the navy (1976), we had Iranian military on our base before the fall of the Shah. The Iranians were completely in-hospitable and insulted us while we tried to digest our meals. "you americans...die, die, die! un-believable.

I know that the Balfour declaration is the root of all of this trouble. If Stalin didn't turn on the russian jews, this might not have happened. But now it is too late.

The Americans and the british that start all of this are safely in their graves and we are on the path of finding out whose god really exists. There won't be 72 virgins, just radioactive contamination and the dead and dying.

Good luck to all of us.

I have travelled to between 50 and 60 countries on every continent. Some I have worked in and others I've just visited but always I have found that all peoples of every race, colour and creed get along fine and respect each other and then comes the real horror fundamentalists of ALL religions and lieing politicians all of whom are out to feather their own evil nests. In the northern hemispere at present we have the triumviate of evil --- Bush, arrogant; Blair, who is still besotted by him and Sharon, arrogant as Bush. The followers of these three are destroying the lives of thousands of men, women and children who just wish to get along together and have normal, healthy and happy lives. The british with our arrogant past have an awful lot to answer for and not only in the Middle East.
I sincerely hope that someway a solution will be found as soon as possible for all concerned who live in the region.

Hi,

I am an European Jew and I support the Palestinian right of return. I am sure Israel and the Palestinian territories will eventually unite in a bi-national, democratic state.

I am looking forward to the day when we will live as brothers, with equal rights in the new bi-national state.

To all Palestinian refugee brothers, I wish you freedom and a safe, speedy return home. Israel should have been a bi-national, democratic state from the beginning. All subsequent wars only proove that not having one was a mistake for Jews and Palestinians alike.

Hello;
I'm trying to understand something about your coltures. You've gotta admit to a person born and raised in the United States it's hard for me to understand. I feel that if we both try to understand our differences we will realize that we have enough in common to live togather. I would bet that at least 75% of all Americans have no understanding of Ramadan. I feel that we are both so afraid of each other, just because we don't understand each others religion's and each others customs. Something that means nothing to an American may have very deep religious or festive meaning to an Arab. What I'm trying to say is most of us don't mean to desecrate or ignore your customs. We just don't know.
Please beleve me that most Americans don't dis-like Arabs.I just think that the word is fear on both sides Arabs and Americans. I also feel a quiet tension when first meeting an Arab. An Arab living in this country right now must be hard because I'm sure that some Americans make coments to them that are offensive.
One more thing, what is Saffuriyya??? Is that an old part of palistine, where Isreal is now? Like part of the Wesst Bank and Gasa?
Thank You for letting me ask these questions. I hope I didn't offend anyone.
