I am from the Caribbean (West Indies) and i am saddened by the conflicts in the middle east. I feel hurt knowing that my palestinian friends are hurting so badly daily. It is just not fair! So to my dear friends.......my prayers and thoughts will always be with you.....

I cry for Palestine. out of no where, I could be driving or reading something about it. As i sit and read through this website....I CRY, what a shame. On a lighter note, this website is beautiful, informative and wish it could be broadcasted all over US MEDIA to educate the ignorant population here in the US. Thank you to the creators and all their hard work. LONG LIVE FALASTEEN.

I'm an American Jew of Belarusian origin (immigrated in 1990). I've never been a big fan of Israel, but I'm still not sure what this site's creators advocate. The destruction of Israel? The expulsion of all the Jews (most of whom were born there)? That hardly seems like a peaceful cause. I wholly support the creation of a Palestinian state alongside Israel, but not instead of Israel. A multiethnic Palestinian-Israeli state would be a nice idea (provided Jews would still have the right to immigrate), but I'm afraid it's a rather utopian notion...

Two years ago we had guests from Amman, Jordan - very dear friends of mine and their neighbor. My friend's mother, who couldn't make the trip due to poor health, was born and grew up in Jaffa and her biggest wish was of course for her daughter, to see the place of her origin. No question, we took her all around Yafo and sure enough, she recognized according to the stories, her mother told her, the place of a bakery, (today a movie theater replaces it, close to a bank) and some other locations and we made together the sad trip back into the past. Finally we went to the beach and all I could do, was hug her, as she stood there, crying.
With the neighbor it was different! He came from a village, which was located inside, what is today "Park Canada" (which was built on 'Imwas's reins), close to Latrun! He asked to see the place one more time. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the village and as the man died about a year and a half ago, it would be rather difficult to research that. I will try though!
The moment we reached the park-entrance, he was like electrified and directed us with an incredible sense of orientation all the way down, to he very center of the park - all of a sudden happily exclaiming, THIS would be the place of his village. Fact is, there was absolutely NOTHING left, which would even distantly resemble a place of residence, in other words - there was not one stone on the other anymore! But he was sure and nothing and nobody could convince him about anything else! He left the car and walked around among the bushes and flowers, quietly, obviously reminiscing, how it used to be. We stayed behind. Nobody talked, we just watched him. We understood without words, how important this visit was for this old man.
I think often of them. Salwa, my friend from Amman was here again and will hopefully come more often. And the neighbor - well, he finished his journey. I hope, we were able to brighten at least one of his last days - I wish, we could have done much, much more!

my grandparents lived in acre, comfortably.they had a big house and a olive tree farm where my grandfather made olive oil. my grandmother was from a wealthy family.they had my father after 12 years. he was their pride and joy. then they had another baby. and another, this time a girl. ghada was only seven days old when the jews came. my grandmother had heard they were coming so she buried all her gold in a oil tin in the back yard. the jews came with guns. yelling and screaming, scaring the children. they light the house on fire and my grandparents and the three babies fled. they walked, and walked, and walked, for days until they reached the lebanese border where my grandma collapsed. 1948 is a year never to be forgotten.in lebanon my grandparents lived in a nice place for a while with the money they had brought with them but it eventually ran out. my grandmother had baby after baby until they were 16 children. she wanted to make an army she would say to get our home back. and she did, she had 14 boys and 2 beautiful girls.my father was they eldest.
my grandpa couldnt feed all these people alone so he told my father to get a job. My dad tried endlessly in lebanon but it was no use. they didnt want palestinian workers. so my grandpa sent him to egypt where he struggled for a year then found a job on the oil riggs in lybia. my dad wanted to amount to something in his life and lybia wasnt good enough. he flew to the bahamas and sneaked into miami and from miami he drove to montreal where his cousin was living. he made it to CANADA.wow what a journey for such a young man. but what else coould he do he needed to help raise his family. he saved some money and sent it to other brothers. some used it to go to germany, others went to the gulf ( but were kicked out in the gulf war).4 of my uncles were killed. the first was teiseer. he died in 1970 in black sept in jordan where king hussein killed 22,000 palestinian men ages 18-45. when he died my uncle amene went skizo...they were very close, and he eventually died in lebanon of misery. another one, mueen, was a new father, when israeli snipers shot him in the legs and he bled to death on the streets of beirut. his daughter was 1.hisham's cause of death was unknown. all we know is he was in the refugee camp in 82 during the massacre that sharon headed in sabra and shatila.so here in canada my father made friends. he would sit in the coffee shop like they did back home and talk about politics and social issues. one day a new man came. his name was heimi. he was a jew, and he was an arab, originally from yemen but his family lived in israel in acre. my dads home town. heimi sat with the group telling stories of his childhood. my father listened. one day heimi went to israel to visit his sick father and brought back pictures. his father lived on a farm that had olive trees which made olive oil. heimi's mother was wearing alot of jewelry and looked happy in the pictures.heimi told a funny story of how his mother found the jewelry in an olive oil tin buried in the back yard.my father turned yellow...and quietly asked heimi the address of his fathers home. its was my grandpa's. so my dad told heimi. then it was heimi's turn to turn yellow.
my father stopped going to the coffee shop. it hurt him.
heimi called after a long while and said to my father..."im sorry".but sorry doesnt help. the pain is there.
israel thinks we will forget our land
we cant, its a part of us
we will return
you cant oppress an entire nation of people and not expect a backlash
i carry my fathers sorrow
and plan to go home
to acre
to 3akka.

Good and very informative site.
The foundation of the state of Israel is one of the biggest mistakes in history: born out of horror of the first World War (the awful so called Balfour declaration).
But in my opinion the only way to peace is a multi-etnic Israelian Palestine with Jurazalem as a holy international city, the future seat for the united nations.
So abolish Israel and abolish Palastine, maak a new democratic state. There is enough room in Palestine for the 15.miljoen people that want to live there.
Remember the great Arabic past. The poets like Al-Maari and the philosophers like Al-Razi. The Jews got Spinoza, also a great man. Don't say it is impossibble.
In the Netherlands we live together: Muslims, Christians, Jews, humanists. Peaceful and democratic: respecting the rights of every-one. And I don''t care a damn for my country. They may abolish it as long I live in a society that is democratic and respects everybody's rights, cultural habitudes and languages. We live with 16 miljons in a much smaller region than Palestine and we can do it, so can you!
Follow the prophet Mohammed and create an international brotherhood of mankind!!

The Young Will never Forget

As Palestinians Forgetting is the least for us to worry,
One day Zionist Israelis have to feel guilty and sorry,
They can Kill and Torture but cant Assassinate our Memory.

Another day they will realize that, and have frankly to admit,
That Palestinian Young Generation will never forgive nor forget.
How can a person without his Heart and Soul stay on earth living?
Palestine is our Heart, and Love; it is our God blessed giving.
How can a child forget Scenes of Blood and Screams of Crying?
Scenes of his family members killed in front of his eyes coldly dying.
Such Criminal Behavior helped our children painfully remember,
Awakened in them memory of your unlimited Massacres in number.

Needless to say how we breastfed our children Palestine؟s Love,
And this comes first to them and stands before all and high above.
The Sacred Love of Our Homeland is naturally with them born,
Seeing their families, houses and country by force taken and torn.
That Love which you will never be able to understand,
Because you don؟t have such feelings but those of a gang and band.
Our grand children are well equipped with such memories,
And again assure you that Forgetting has no place in our Diaries.
Aggressors we ARE NOT and never were, but Victims sure we Are,
By Force Took our Land and blindly killing led by a Mass Killer star.

The Truth is Crystal Clear to the Whole World here and there,
We Wonder Why does the World Back them and of them take care?
We called for PEACE &FAIR JUSTICE but they were always Deaf,
Also they were Senseless like a Hard Rock in a Mountain Cliff.
Again the Whole World Neglected our Continuous PEACE Call,
And Helped The Aggressor Zionists to remain Criminals after all.

Other goverments such as the US want justice. I am not saying they don't deserve it but they suffered from a single event for two hours. Don't we Palestinians who have suffered for 53 years contiously deserve justice? or freedom? Don't we deserve to be treated like humans? Live in our houses? Can't people walk in a city without being scared of death?
Can't we pray in our mosques without being scared of a soldier coming and shooting us in the back.

Despite all this we have a single weapon, stronger than any other, and that is hope. All Palestinians can see that the people are dying. Yet do they hide? They know that the Zionists have stronger weopens and shields, and tanks, and that all they have is a stone in their hand, but they dont run away. And the Zionist soldiers have protection, and armour, to get protected from what? a stone?

God Bless Palestine

Hi,
Great site!
Please add to Zionist Quotes, also Rabbi Meir Kahane, Rehavaam Zeevi and Avigdor Liberman.
And answer in Zionist FAQ, why Israelis didn't destroyed all Arab villages?
For example, two neighbor villages: Qaesariya and Jas-az-Zarka, Qaesariya was destroyed, while Jas-az-Zarka not. Why so selective "ethnic cleansing"? The answer is, that Arabs in Qaesariya was fighting against Israel and those in Jas-az-Zarka doesn't. Fair enough. Israel was destroying houses of enemies all the time. And even yesterday we destroyed house of terrorist.
Good luck!

i'd like to thank the person who created this amazing and great website , and which gives a clear idea about the real terrorists of this world ...
i am a palestinian who was forced to leave his country and to live outside ...and for this i blame not only the western world which is providing zionists with all kinds of weapons to kill innocent civilian palestinians ...but also i blame the arab and islamic nation ..for they are standing mute and not responding to the harsh and aggressive way the zionists and americans are treating our people . it is a real shame that the arab leaders are all the time puppets in the hands of the united states ...and it is a real shame that the arabic people are not revolting against those leaders who are traitors.
the prophecy of Mohammad will come true one day when jesus the messiah( the first palestinian freedom fighter )will come to this world, and clean it from all the evils of the united states and zionists ...
Palestine ..was , still and will always be for Arabs ...
LONG LIVES PALESTINE ...

I came across this site by accident, or maybe fate. I could not stop my tears as I read the message board. For the first time in my 30 years of life, I felt a sense of belonging. My mother and father were born in 1948 but of course were forced to flee to Lebanon as babies. They migrated to Australia when I was 6 months old, so I was obviously raised here in Australia. I have always found the question "where are you from ?" so difficult to answer, and never felt I could give the right reply. Where am I from? I usually give the lengthy explanation I have described above. YES I'm Palestinian. But I'm also Australian..it's my country, it has become my culture, it is my way of life. I love Australia..it is who I am. I want to be Palestinian and everything that it stands for but cannot help but feel lost. I cry for what I have been cheated out of..that sense of belonging. Dont get me wrong..I am still passionate about being Palestinian, and always point out respectfully that I'm Palestinian and not Lebanese as might be suggested. The invasion of Palestine has cheated me and millions of my palestinian sisters and brothers around the world, out of our heritage. I feel cheated even moreso because I went to Palestine to live. I lived near the city of Acre for one year, but could not adapt. One part of me was so happy to be where my ancestors were born and the other part ached for Australia, the country I was so familiar with. With the help of your site, I know that one day I will stop feeling like a lost soul. Keep up the great work. I LOVE YOU PALESTINE.

Hi!!

I have always been aware of the Palestinian - Israeli conflict, but since September 11th I have decided to research and find out about what was going on. I was very disappointed in myself to learn that for 25 years I have been ignorant of the facts.
I am a student at University of Newcastle, England. After the extensive research I have done in order to determine who was at fault, I am now convinced by also looking into Israeli website's too that the Zionist's have stepped way beyond the line's, breaking all the law in the books supported by the US governement's double standards. I am now convinced that these Zionists to my disgust equates to Adolf Hitler. I do not dislike Jews, Christian or any religions as long as all learn how to live together in peace and unity.

I feel as a Britich citizen, it is my moral duty to strive along with my Palestinian fellows and friends to fight for the cause. I now have now set up at university a Palestinian Awareness commitee, and will arrange to have teach-ins, debates. I am also approaching producers, film makers in making films and documentaries to inform the whole world on what has been going on. The pure facts will speak for itself, there is no need of biased information, where you have Hollywood filmmakers portraying Arabs as evil, terrorists. Hollywood must stop poisoning people's minds, just give them the real facts and let the people be the judge!!

I urge all to contribute in some way to this struggle (from telling friends, signing the guest-book to actively campaign)to acheive peace, stability and the end of persecution of Palestinians by the zionists.

Peace to the people of Palestine, I would like you to know that myself and millions of people are standing next to you, and can see what is happening.

I am glad to see that the people of palestineremembered.com are still doing as good of a job as ever. I have signed this guest book before and I will probably sign it again. I am so pleased to have such educated hard working individuals provide such interesting and educational facts to the general public who are willing to view past the biased governments and media of the West and see the truth with their own eyes.

As a 25 year old Palestinian refugee who has lived in many different parts of the world, I would have to say that, although I have never lived in Palestine, the longing and desire to go back will never die. I have felt incomplete all my life. An absence, a lack of a feeling of belonging that can only be answered the day I kneel down and kiss the ground of Palestine. I weep for my people and all the injustices that they have had to endure. I cry for those who have lost loved ones, homes, and lands. And I pray for those who are not frightened to carry on the struggle.

People of Palestine walk with your heads up high, be strong, and always remain united. You must not be blinded, deafened or muted by fear or loss of hope. We shall return, we shall be free, we shall obtain by the will of God what is rightfully ours.

On a final note, I would like to suggest something, which is directed mainly to the respectable people of Palestine Remembered. Do you think it is possible to have a chat program or applet running on your website whereby People can meet, befriend one another, and discuss issues that deal with the Palestinian cause. I for one think its a great idea to get in touch with my fellow brothers and sisters who are involved in the struggle for an independent Palestine.

Keep up the good work and God Bless
Kamal

P.S. anyone interested in starting a project related to enhancing the educational experience of the Palestinian children living in the refugee camps. Please get in touch with me. This is just a thought in its infancy stage, but maybe we can work together to actualize this dream.

This is a fantastic website. It is very important that the HISTORY of Palestine be disseminated, as so many are ignorant. Once Palestinian history is understood by the majority of people, it will be hard to stand in the way of the re-establishment of Palestine. I think that most peoples' sympathies will stretch naturally to Palestine, justice, and fairness on this issue.
Posted by M. Sullivan on NOVEMBER-1-2001 #889

Interesting website. The Middle East conflict has implications on the rest of the world. As a teacher (geography, but studied history for my first degree) it seem to me that the Palestinian quest to return to their homeland parallels in certain ways the Zionist plight. Israelis must come to terms with that but also, Palestinians must accept that Israel is not just going to disappear. Unfortunately there are many confounding factors such as fundamentalism (on both sides to different degrees) that stand in the way of a viable solution. However reading messages such as those of Sarah and Dina shows us that that on a human level, there are rational and moderate people in your area that may make the difference.

I would like to congratulate every Palestinian because at last the "Super Powers" delared that the "image" of a Palestinan state has always existed in "minds" of the successive administrations. The Palestinans have not been told about the preconditions of accepting this "image" of their promised state. Some of these preconditions are the following:
1- Every Palestinian, who has built his home on his own piece of land and who is doomed by Israel to have done that without a permit must stand outside his house with all family members and look happily with a big smile to the Israeli's bulldozers while they demolish that house. Even he must clap on seeing his life dream bulldozed and demolished in front of his eyes, otherwise he will be classifed as a barbaric uncivilized terrorist.
2- If it happens that any Palestinian boy or girl is killed by what is called the IDF, that person's parents must not show any anger towards the merciful IDF soldiers. On the contrary, they must commend the soldier who killed him because Palestinian children are trouble- makers and they are potential terrorists.
3- Whenever any Palestinian wants to travel inside or ouside his promised "state", he/she must get permission from the Israelis. He may not travel to any country which Israel considers a non-friendly country. Israelis have the right to do that in order for them to secure their "state's" security because some countries might plot against Israel. In the first place, Israel is always right and does not make mistakes.
4- Every Palestinan must sign willingly and have the great honor to recognize Israel's sovereignity on 80% of the Historical Palestine and on this state.
5- Every Palestinian must accept to live within the borders of his own house and if he leaves his home at the time of curfew he will be shot on the spot, without warning. During times of curfew, only pregnant women are allowed to leave their homes and give birth to their children at the Israeli check points, which besiege every village, town or city of our promised "SOVEREIGN" state. This gererousity is given to us because the Israelis will allow us to fly our flag on the buildings inside the less than 20% of our Historical
Palestine.
6- Every Palestinian must sign and solemnly declare that the critical issues such as Jerusalem, the colonies in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, the Holy Right of Return of the 1948
Palestinian Refugees must be left out now to be negotiated at a later stage.
7- When the "Super Powers" are convinced that every single Palestinian commits himself and even encourage his friends and acquaintances to commit themselves to the above mentioned conditions, then the promised "State" may be realized.
8- There is only one minor concern here to be added. This concern is this question. "When will the super powers be convinced that the Palestinians met all the above pre-conditions?"- We have to ask Israel, who has the right to decide or the veto to make us wait!

As a Jewish born person, my dad always taught us how to respect the others boundaries, though he had the chance to engage in the 48 war...he strongly refused. He always said, we, Jews whom ever survived the Holocaust cannot spread the murderous crimes from German Nazis to the Land of Palestine.

I am glad that this web-site reflect the true history, and hope Palestinians, the rightful people of that land get this problem resolved justly.

Good Luck,

Unreal!! Palestinians and Jews have been fighting for literally thousands of years over occupation of land. It'll never end. It is true that Israel is a mini-USA and Jews here in the USA have alot of power, which I don't agree with. They control many corporations and politicians with their money. I sympathize with the Palestinians, as the US applies a double-standard when it comes to Israel "getting out of line" with their terrorist behavior against Palestinians.
I guess I can understand why so many in the Middle East hate America. This country is still in its infancy being only 200+ years old and a superpower in the world with much wealth.
I was fortunate to be born here, but can assure you I am not wealthy or elite. I am a regular working person who struggles to get by, but I do thank God for what I have and realize their are people in the world with much less. I am Catholic and hope that I can educate myself here at this wonderful site about the religious history and struggles of the Palestinian people.

HOPES AND DREAMS

Does it? Does justice exist?
I don't think so!
Why????
I will tell you,
So listen to me carefully.
I am an arab,
A palestinean girl.
I love my land,
I will fight for it,
Because it is a part of me.
Without it, I am nothing.
I am proud of my nationallity.
I carry it with me with full of honour.
I haven't seen much of this world,
But I think I know the difference between good and bad.
Maybe every human has another view of it,
But I know that what happens in my land, is not justice.
IN NO WAY!
Many women and children,
Many sons of OUR palestine were killed.
MY PALESTINE
Many tears have run through our cheeks.
The tears we have cried can fill the whole world.
We are weak.
Weak with weapons,
But not with our dreams and hopes.
We dream of a land,
A land where we can live without fear,
Where we can see our children playing in our gardens,
Where we can pray in our al aksa,
Where we can walk through the old city,
Where we can go everywhere without being scared of death,
Where we all can live in peace and harmony,
I wish for myself such a palestine.
But what I see with my eyes,
Is destruction.
Dead people, dead brothers and sisters.
I could cry,
But I won't,
Because I am strong.
I hope for justice.
The hopes keep us alive. by Dina Tischler

Well, I sill say that your site was an eye opening experience that I will soon not forget. I have been looking for credible information about the palastinian issue for some time now, and many good sites have ultimately led me here. I am an American, and I think that many Americans are totally unaware of the true history of Palastine and the Israel State. I would like to say that my interested began long before Mr. Bin Laden was blamed for the WTC attack, and that kind of attention is not that kind that should be seeked. I will say that we are upon a new era, a time were hatred must be controlled. I know that sounds easy for me to say, but it is not. I am a son to a man who server his country (USA) for 30 years in the military (blindly, sometimes, I think. I am also a member of a family that is largely uneducated by sources other than the Television and government propaganda. I live in a country with a leader I truly cannot support, becouse of his lies and rhetoric. Yet, we are in a time that must yeild peacefull solutions, becouse as humans, we have created warfare that yeilds to much danger to our world as a whole. If we continue on this path, Zionist, Muslims, Christians, Atheists will have nothing show of there efforts. We yeild bombs, and bioligical agents on our earth and its people as if there is no repurcussions of our actions. We need to understand that the long terms effects of what we do outway the temporary gains we may get. The aggression that the Israeli's have used to there own gain, is totally unnacceptable, as is the lack of responsble reporting and education of people around the world. I join you in your fight to educate, and free palestine from your opressors in a way that all can live together in a mutually beneficial society. It is the only way my friends. Let us not act as gods, or devils, but as men and women with the voice of reason. Peace to all of you, and I invite any of you to contact me. I would love to hear from you.

I think the internet and websites like yours are a good instrument for keeping the world informed of the truth of the palestinian conflict.I think there are probably a lot more people out there that sympathise with the palestinians than you realise but they are not yet galvanised into pressurising their governments to deal with this problem.Perhaps when their lifestyle safety and security is affected by such as things like the WTC disaster and possibility of biological warfare there will be a call for justice albeit out of self interest.Your people have suffered enough and if it takes actions like Bin Laden has taken to put things right then so be it -- it is just so sad that after so many years a more peacefull solution could not be arrived at.I do not think he has damaged your cause - he has brought some of the worlds injustices right into our living rooms. We should all be aware of the plight of people in this world and start doing something to make this planet a place pleasant to live in for all people.Keep Fighting meantime - and good luck - there are I am sure many people whos hearts and thoughts are with the palestinian people.

It saddens me to read many things on this website. I, like many others have been searching to find the truth behind the pain and to understand the other side's point of view. One hardly knows what to believe any more.
I am proud to be Israeli although I am not proud of all that has occurred here. There has been too much suffering.
In the same way that I am curious about the history of the Palestinians I would hope that somewhere there are those who are curious about the history of the Jewish people.Perhaps then, a miracle will occur and we shall look to live together in peace without resorting to hatred and rhethoric, and violent acts.
Jewish history is just one long chronology of expulsions. The eternally displaced people. Zionism was a means to find a solution. I still shudder with disbelief when I recall how one third of all World Jewry was wiped out only a few decades ago in the most cold - blooded mass murder the world has ever seen.
This website saddened me because I got more insight into the suffering of the Palestinians, but also I was sadened by the lack of hope for the future. I am Israeli. I have Israeli fiends and neighbours. We are good and moderate and peaceloving. Most of my friends are against the settlement policies. On this website there was the undercurrent of blind hatred. "You Jews....go back to wherever you came from....."
But for most here, there is nowhere else to go.

Maybe there are points that both sides can agree upon. Let us value human life and dignity. This conflict has gone on too long. Looking back and finger pointing breeds more hatred.
It's time to look forward. Time to compromise and share.

We the Palestinian Muslims suffered from state sponsored terrorism from the Israeli and Zionists Jews who are evil people, We will one day inshallah claim our holy al-Aqsa mosque back from the infidels and we will keep fighting for what is rightfully ours, So if you Israelis don't stop killing us we will keep fighting and will one day succeed Unsha'allah

I consulted your web site seeking background material on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The material you have posted, plus my additional researches, have conviced me that the aggression agains Moslem and Christian Palestinains was initiated by the Israelis, and the subsequent struggle of the Palestinians was an inevitable outcome. I deplore the state terrorism practised by Israel, and the hypocrisy of the state of Israel in claiming that the legitimate struggles of the Palestinian people represent some form of terrorism.

Hi All,

I am Dutch/Portuguese and enjoyed this site as it gave a lot of info.
In Holland, the gouvernment is pro Israel but the people are luckily not so biased. When they are towards israel, i ask them the question: do you think it would be ok if Holland was called "germany" back in 1945 as it occupied us. And think about this: how on earth can we accept it that the name of a country (Palestina) is just changed into Israel??? Think about it.
I also do understand terrorist attacks by Palestines. Not that I say it is o.k., but what do you expect from apeople that has been pushed to the wall for 50 years by now?? If you want to make people extremist you must offer them no solution and push them all the time...One terrible day, some of those people strike back and not only in their country. While horrible, it is understandable at least for me (and I am no muslim!).

OTH: I hope have your facts right. Not all Israeli's are Zionists. If you call them Zionists all the time, you make clear you are biased (of course you are)but it also makes me wonder if your views are the right ones..

According to an UNESCO report there was no Ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. The UCK was very much a terrorist organisation (CIA report in 1997) which did not defend a country of theirs, as it always was Serb territory.
According to UNESCO there were no massmurders and the balance of deaths among both parties was equal, 5000-5000 if I remember correct.
The world made a big mistake in Yugoslavia and I hope that Serbia gets Kosovo back. It has been Serb territory for 700 years and I wonder why it should become independent.
The fact that a (country) miority is a majority in a region does not mean that this region therefor should become independent.

The points put forth and the facts given in support are well put by the author(s). In view of some of those facts (most Israelies live in a couple of cities) I don't see why the whole matter should not be handed over to the U.N. so the villagers can return to their homes. The jewish settlers would have to be relocated to live in Tel Aviv and Haifa with the rest of the urban Israeli dwellers. Israel should immediately cease all immigration. I only take one exception - I am a Christian and an American; I am not a Zionist. Please do not presume.

I stumbled upon this web page and am glad that I did. I started looking into the plight of the Palestinian people last September 30th after I witnessed the murder of 12-year old Mohammed Adorra on television while his father tried shielding him in the Gaza Strip. I will never be able to put into words how seeing that affected me. Witnessing that horror, that the people there witness and experience everyday, made me want to learn more, and maybe even help somehow, someday.

What my studies have unraveled is truly sad. As an American, it upset me when I learned of the USA's involvement through its' being allied with Israel. I was crushed when a Palestinian journalist I wrote out of an urge to offer condolences to Mohammed's family, wrote me back admonishing me for being an American. I was 27, and maybe I should have been more up to date on current events, but I wasn't. He filled me in though, which was great in a way, because I would still be ignorant had he not taken the time. Yet, my American government formed this alliance w/Israel, not me. I cared and still care so much about the suffering of the people over there despite my countries position in the matter. The journalist was cool in the fact that he schooled me for about two weeks via email, but it would have been better had he talked to ME, Brandi, not some American.

I love my country, but I am not blind. I feel bad for all humans that have to suffer no matter their race or religion. This war now is messing with my mind because I hate seeing the women and children in Afganhistan suffer FURTHER! I wish I could change it all, but we all know how that goes.

Life and its' events affect us all in different ways. It is even possible I have Palesinian blood running through my veins, maybe that is why I seem to relate on a level that even confuses me. Apparently, according to a Palestinian man that owns the market I like shopping at, I look Palestinian (due to immigration issues, my grandfather was "given" a last name). I will download those fliers and give them to him, if that will help.

I will add this site to my favorites and continue reading. Wonderful job, very intelligent and well written. I hope this message is not too long. My apologies if it is.

Sincerely,

Brandi

You must fight and resist this Israeli occupation under all peaceful means.. true christians are with you.. but most are not informed of your suffering. Get out the word.. use the press to your advantage. Israels criminal acts will soon be brought to justice.. hold firm on your just and noble cause..

As a 2nd generation Palestinian American, I am so deeply saddened by the continuing situation in Palestine. I grew up listening to my fathers stories of fleeing in 1948 and losing everything, including his father in this struggle.

I can only hope and pray that someday justice and peace will come to Palestine and all of its brothers and sisters who have been so wrongly displaced and ethnically cleansed. I think about and pray for this always. Someday it will come. In the meantime, we must all remain strong and pass on what we know of this horrible injustice of humankind through knowledge and unity. Stay strong and united. Continue to tell the story to all who will listen. keep faith that this will not continue forever, Inshallah

Palestine, Palestine
your green land we long to see
your bluest of skies

Palestine, Palestine

Palestine, Palestine
a country in misery
when you shall shine again

This website is SOOOO great. Since a lot who still don't know what really happen, I wish that everyone who had visited this website can pass it on to others. What can I say about Palestine? Palestine is the aim of our lives. Palestinians should fight till the end since it is our right.....so let us all be with each other. Let's all Arabs, Muslims, and all people who believe in this right to unite in stopping these alien settlers among our mist. I am sure that Palestine will be back to its people, so let's come together as one people, and fight to reach justice.

Thank you for addressing so many questions in your Zionist FAQ. It is very helpful for someone like me, who is just beginning to learn the TRUE history of the modern State of Israel. I am a Christian and an American, and I hope you know that not ALL Americans are pro-Israel, and not ALL Christians support Zionism as some sort of biblical prophecy. Our religion places peace and love above all other human conditions: war and the oppression of the poor is absolutely anathema to any true Christian (just as it is to any true Muslim or Jew). I will continue to bring the rights of Palestinians to the attention of everyone I meet until there is a Palestinian homeland- including Jerusalem!

Defending Ourselves and Home Land Palestine

I cannot imagine that there are people still in this World Accepting Killers Occupying any land, anywhere in this World by Force and Killing daily its people and Violating All Kinds of Human Rights and Laws, using US Weapons F.16 & Apache War Planes to Assassinate Innocent and Civilian People, as the case in Our Occupied Home Land Palestine. Then this World and most powerful Powers in it, along with its people consider the VICTIMS Defending Ourselves and Land as TERRORISTS, While the Israeli Criminal Killers are INNOCENT and They Support them. Can anybody explain what if this is happening to you people, your land is occupied by force, your people are daily killed or injured and your houses Bulldozed and what REACTON would you have? (Put your feet in our shoes) and take our place, How Would you feel, behave and react to defend yourselves and land? How come the Victim is Accused of being Aggressor and the Real Killer and Aggressor is Innocent !
We want the Whole World to know that we are Human Beings with Dignity like all other people in this World. Very soon I will be leaving this World to the Other Better One, BUT I am leaving 19 Grand Children behind whom I Milk-Fed them enough The Love of Our Dear Palestine And the Spirit of Sacrifice and am very confident of this. I am leaving to them this heavy Heritage to carry on, which our present Generation could not complete for many reasons.
In front of them is: Time, History, Belief and Love of Palestine with clear guidelines for their Continuous Resistance and Sacrifice for a Free Independent Palestine.

In letzten 80 Jahren floss sehr viel muslemisches blut.

Amin.

Liebe Brüder! ALLAH mِge mir helfen das ich einmal in Aksa Mosche in befreiter Palestina mit meinem Brüder mein Freitags Gebet verrichte, Inschallah...

The Palestinian people have always existed and will always exist! This website is wonderful, it is free of bias propiganda and lies. Here in America all we hear is Arabic terrorist, the media is so corrupt. It makes me sick to read the papers, sometimes their sources are so unaccountable too! Well I hope we can preserve these pictures of Palestine before Israel because that is the only way to have our proof against the lying media and prove that Palestine existed and in sha allah will once again exist in peace without zionist murderers.
They claim that they feel Palestine is their home well it's funny because my family who has been there since the beginning of time cant live there in peace while the Zionist who has never had a relative there can live in peace with a citizenship! What about my blood, the blood that was rooted in the soil of that land? Let those Russians go back to Russia, that's home for them!

All kinds of terror and killings and murders will only increase and strenghten our will and continuity and struggle for the FREE PALESTINE that we have been longing for and will always fight for .
If the israeli pigs think that such an act would stop us or make us surrender, then they are mistaken for sure . We will always fight till the last drop of our blood that would be vey cheap for the sake of our Palestine.
What if they kill a leader ? we would have thousands of them who are ready to sacrifice themselves just like any child or young man or an old man or any of our palestinian ppl.
IT IS NOW OR NEVER...
LONG LIVE PALESTINE..

The Conflict Between Palestinians and Israelis is not an Ordinary WAR
Between 2 Equal Governments as most people and Western Media wants
to put it in front of the Whole World. This Conflict is a WAR from a different
Nature .The Israelis Government one side against the Remaining Ordinary Civilian People of Palestine. The Zionist Settlers and Israeli Government Army are very well equipped with the most Sophisticated American Weapons, Occupying our land declared war on us. While the Palestinians Under Occupation
Are desperately Struggling hard, with almost no weapons other than
STONES and Primitive means, their Bodies with Will and Determination
To stay Alive & Keep at least 50% of their OWN LAND which the Israelis
Took by Force in 1948 & 1967 and Still Taking more and more every day, also to
Defend themselves from daily attacks from Zionist Settlers and Israeli
Well-equipped Army. Palestinians were & still the VICTIMS of this
Misunderstood WAR By The World, Calling for PEACE are Accused
of Being Terrorists. Is that Just & Fair? How come, the Killer is Innocent
And the Victim is Accused? How come most Governments & People of the
World Stand Behind The Israeli Killers & Support them?
There should be Honorable Decent People LEFT in this World (and there are)
To Interfere and Tackle This Endless Endurable Conflict Seriously without
Blindly Taking Sides. Where are those People and Governments who believe
In JUSTICE and FREEDOM? We are Human Beings like you.
Where is Human Rights Organization? And Where is the United Nations
And International Law? Etc. Etc؟ So far JUSTICE is Lost in this so
Called Civilized World. We hope this will be Straightened out Very Soon.

A very informative website. The pictures were very distressing, however, this is reality and we cannot hide away from the truth and barbarism which is happenning to our brothers and sisters on a daily basis. I pray to allah (swt) that inshallah victory will be attained and we can defeat our arch enemies inshallah.
May allah swt bless my brothers and sisters with patience, guidance, love and happiness, ammen.
Inshallah tawaqal in allah swt.

Congratulations on a very well-designed and clear website depicting a comprehensive summary of Palestine! It is within the intellectual reach of those who ask, but are only answered by mainstream, pro-Israeli media.

The accuracy and minute detailed illustration of each event and place helps those who are misinformed to understand the truth. I wish it were possible to show this to educate the American people instead of the grossly biased CNN, etc.

Best wishes in your future endeavors. We will do our part in passing this site on to others.

Keep up the good work and God bless,
Dr. Carol Ann George (Lebanese American)

I sympathise with the SUFFERING of the PALESTINIAN people & the modern day BARBARISM on the harmless people of PALESTINE. We as the human race must sincerely apologise for being IGNORANT & helping the European JEWS to commit massacres after we the EUROPEAN CHRISTIANS helped the JEWS to get a homeland.

But instead they have abused our support in committing genocide against our PALESTINIAN BROTHERS. We are ashamed and do not support the acts of crime committed by the ISREALIS & hope that the people of ISREAL can unite against the corrupt leaders to help & support the struggle for a peaceful PALESTINE.

LET THE RETURN OF THE LAND THAT WAS STOLEN FROM THE PALESTINIANS.

I PRAY EVERDAY SINCE I SAW HOW THE LITTLE BOY, MOHAMMAD AL-DURRAH WAS MURDERED BY SO-CALLED ISREALI SOLDIERS. I AM ASHAMED OF THIS TYPE OF APARTHIED COMMITTED IN THE 21ST CENTURY.

I PRAY FOR PALESTINE & PALESTINIANS.

AAMEN.

What a brilliant site. I visited Palestine in June 2001 and couldn't believe how ignorant I was. My heart is now COMPLETELY with the Palestinians. May they get their lands back and all their rights.
They are just the most wonderful people I have ever met. I have a charity called LESSONS WITH LOVE to rebuild and equip the youth centre at Beit Jibrin refugee camp.
Much love

Though I am an American of Germanic descent, I should identify with your cause. But after reading "From Time Immemorial" by Joan Peters, I think this should be required reading for all students of the Arab-Israel conflict. I think this would help you get your facts straight. There is NO PALESTINIAN PEOPLE. You are a conglomerate of refugee Arab peoples from Syria, Lebanon and Egypt. Salam,
Macht weiter so. Allah yihmikun wa yiwafikun ya rab.

For me as german, I have a lot problems here in Germany bacause of our Nazi past during the second war, however, Zionists and Israelis don't have the right to do the same for others ... killing kids on the streets...woman...this is not the way!
Whatever I can do to fight for the Right of Return of all Palestinians, I will do. Also the german shoemaker, one of the greates, call "deichmann" spent 2 million US dollars for new houses! I want do more, but I need help to do more here or anywere else you want. Contact me...anyone.. and no fear to fight for a free palestine. its not only for you, its for your childeen...and so on...
FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS!

First of all,
Palestine and the palestinian people will never give up, the only way we could ever loose Palestine is until every single Palestinian dies, that would include myself. Also, we have to remember that the zionists will always be zionists, and the people we lost in the past wars, well....they are in gods hands right now, and who knows maybe there is a Palestine right above us, right when they give their last breath of air they are in a place where it's beautiful beyond the imagination, and there is no such thing as war. I would also recommend to the people who want to know what's happening there daily to get a satillite I have one and it's a great use, to know about what's happening there, but then you are going to have those times where... it's just too much because you are going to see some horrid pictures, and well i guess i can just say it's hurts a lot to see ure own people in pain. Inshallah we will have peace and to add to that OUR OWN COUNTRY.

The CRIME commited yesterday by the Zionists was really unbelivable. my heart goes out to the eight martyrs that were MURDERED yesterday and to all the martyrs that have ever died. I also hope that Aerial Sharon gets a good trial and that he gets the punishment he deserves. As long as we don't forget Palestine, and we keep fighting for it, inshallah Palestine will be ours again, and we will live peacefully in our villages, towns and cities again.

Palestine will be ours again.

Salam,
Alhamdulila and MashAllah on this web site. I really felt like I was in the villages that were sadly destroyed. Alhamdulila my balad still exists, bas I am so sad for what happened to my bothers and sisters who lived in the land we lost in 1948. It is this feeling in my heart that aches and I can never and will never stop thinking about the Ard-ilsah-hil-liya as Palestians call it. Alhamdulila we still can see the pictures and know how our country looked before the unfortunate zionist invasion. Inshallah ya Rub we will return to our Country and we will move back to our homes and pray in our masajid and churches. Inshallah Allah bun-surna ayla banee Israel. Inshallah Islam returns to our hearts like it was with our ancestors and out of us comes a person like Salah-il-deen. It is only time, this is not the first time our people suffer, the crusaders occupied the Al Aqsa mosque and made it into a palace and made the Dome of the Rock a church, so we are better off then our ancestors were, so with sabir and Iman, Allah will Inshallah help us return to our lands.

Dear all Palestinian Arabs: As an American Jewish non-Zionist, I must applaud your website. I have long felt as though the land of Israel was basically stolen from the indigenous Palestinian/Arab population. The Zionists rode on the coattails of British Imperialism in order to obtain thier own nation state. I have been to Israel twice in the past three years. I loved touring the various ruins and places of rare antiquity. Yet, as I traveled throughout the West Bank, I couldn't help but notice that the settlers seemed to build thier illegal communities on Arab farmland. The terraced hillsides that surround the Jewish settlements belong to the Arab farmers who currently grow crops of fruits, vegetables, ... etc. They even go into the settlements in order to sell their products. Even my grandmother, an ardent Zionist, had to verbally admit: .... no wonder why they want the land. You are also all too correct in your assessment of Zionist Jews. They are very defensive on the issue of Israel. When I argue against their position, I am always told you don't have that special feeling towards your people's homeland. They also reiterate the various Zionists myths that include racism. Yet, while they have their feelings and spiritual yearnings in order to back up their positions, I have historical fact. Historically, the Palestinian/Arab population dominated the landscape of present-day Israel. The Jews, while probably a distinct population, were a vast, vast minority even up to and including the War of Independence. Internationally documented maps show hundreds of destroyed Palestinian towns/cities/villages inside present-day Israel. While an Arab nation-state was not in existence, a thriving Palestinian civilization was. And that is the bottom line. The Zionists complain that the Palestinians don't want peace. Yet, they fail to realize that they basically stole (with the help of the British) Palestinian land in 1948 and displaced an entire civilization, thereby throwing this civilization into disarray. I also constantly argue that it is the ultimate hypocracy for the Jewish people to steal land, employ racist policies and displace people. These same tactics were used against the Jews many times by many different governments. We should be extra careful not to do unto others that which was done unto us. So, to wrap up, I just want to say that I support your website and your cause. While there are many Jews who feel the same way I do, there aren't enough to philosophically sway the entire Jewish community. We do exist, though, and we hope for a true peace in the middle east, including a fully independent Palestine (and the right of the Palestinians to return or receive just compensation). Good luck, Avi

It's very nice to find websites in which we can read about our homeland Palestine. Since I was born away from Palestine in Lebanon, I have been looking forward to visit or even read anything about my home NAHF east of Akka. I am 27 years old who has FULL intention to go back Palestine, which is my right. On the other hand, if I won't be able to do it, hopefully my children will do one day. Sooner or later, we all SHALL go back to our home land. Thanks to you all for this lovely website, and I urge you to continue this great work. Salamat

I'm Palestinian originally from Akka. I've never had the chance to visit my home land even though I'm the owner of this land. On the other hand, the dumb outsider racist Zionists claim to be theirs! Zionists you have one choice: you must leave our homeland Palestine or die, it's just matter of time. We Shall never and ever stop fighting until Palestine is back to its rightful owners. WE SHALL RETURN

PALESTINE IN THE HEART FOREVER The Scenes Of Safsaf Massacre is Still Live Running after me, Yes, Running on me like a Shadow that Follows its Own Tree. Sounds of Explosions and Sights of Never Ending Lightening Fear, Running Scared Animals, and Screams of Women Deafening My Ear. Scenes of Killing and Smelling of Blood Wrapped in Deathly Horror, Mixed with Sounds of Bombing and Never Ending Yells of Terror. Shooting from All Sides, Sounds of a Threatening Microphone, People Rushing, Treading on Dead Bodies, Injured in Pain Moan!! Even there was No Time to Answer a Question with Yes or No, People Were Terrorized to Death Not Knowing What to Do, Where to Go. Later, the Scene of a Mother Carrying a Pillow Cursing, Crying got Wild, My Baby, I Picked this Pillow from the Cradle, Look!! Where is my Dear Child? For Years I am Still Haunted with Such Horrible Scenes I Saw There, Which kept me many nights Awake looking at the ceiling madly stare, Awake, I Heard a Heavenly Voice Calling me, Go DO Your Share. Thanks to Such Painful Memories, which kept me Wide Awake, Re-planted Hope and Faith in Our Struggle for My Country؟s Sake. Suppose I Forgot, God Forbids, I Would Have a Fatal Crime Again, Remembering is a Bless, Created Hopes from Memories Full of Pain. Those Memories Paved the Way for me and Broke Out that Iron Wall, Then Joined, Answering that Call, Determined To Do Miracles After All. This Never Ending Process of Aggression Using PEACE as a Cover, Such False Spill is a Curse and Should Be Thrown Behind us Forever. Our Holy Belief in Life and Death is Forever Our Strongest Sharp Might, We Must Milk-Feed This to Our Children and Keep ALIVE Our SACRED RIGHT, PALESTINE Our Land Deserves that We Die to Live, and Keep The CAUSE ALIVE In Light.
