A. JEWISH AREAS.
39. Jerusalem. In the course of a nutrition survey, carried out in 1943 by the Central Bureau for Medical Statistics of the Hadassah Organisation, investigations were made into the living conditions of 2,972 Jewish families in Jerusalem comprising 15,413 individuals of the lower wage earning groups. These families were found to be accommodated in 3 ,937 rooms at an average occupation density of 3.914 persons per room. The details of the survey are given in the following table :
