Masha'a* (Ar.)
- "Owned in shares", i.e. village land not permanently allotted to individuals but held in common and annually distributed.
Mass Hazit Israel
(H.) - "Israel's Front Fund" of the Stern Group.
Matruka* (Ar.) - Land withdrawn from private use and allotted to public use.
Meshek (H.) - "Farm", "agricultural economic unit".
Mewat* (Ar.) - "Waste land owned b the State".
Mikve Israel (II.) - "Hope of Israel". The first agricultural school founded in 1870 by Charles Netter.
Miri* (Ar.) - Land over which a heritable right of possession is granted by the State though the Raq Uri (ownership) remains in the State. Analogous with copyhold.
Mizrahi (H.) "Eastern". The main party of orthodox Zion is ts. See page 959.
Mudawwara* (Ar.) - Land transferred from the Sultan to the Treasury after the Turkish revolution of 1908.
