The Conflict 101: Studies In Palestinian Customs And Folklore By Dr. Tawfiq Cana'an (MD) in 1922 |
Dr. Tawfiq Cana'an, a renowned Palestinian MD and author, wrote this booklet soon after WWI ended. Let this booklet be a gift to the many Jews who have been repeating the BIG LIES about Palestinians for over a century. In this regard, Palestinians have every right to ask: when did the yishuv first publish a similar book not in their old Germanic language (Yiddish) but rather in Hebrew? The way we see it: every accusation is a confession! Keep in mind that Mr. Cana'an was also fluent in Hebrew! It is worth pointing out that Bibi Netanyahu was raised in a home (located in the Qatamoun neighborhood west of Jerusalem) that was looted from the same Cana'an family!
As you read this booklet, please note that Mr. Cana'an was only of many; however, the majority wrote in Arabic. Most famous of those were the famous Issa family of Jaffa City (the publishers of Falastin Newspaper which was the largest during the pre-Nakba period), 'Aref al-'Aref (who is respected by Israeli scholars) and Mustafa Murarad al-Dabbagh. Sadly, the majority of our Palestinian literary work was either destroyed or stolen by Israelis since Nakba. The erasure of Palestinian culture and history is an ongoing Nakba by itself. Anyhow, if this subject interests you, we urge you to look into the looting of the Institute of Palestine Studies during the invasion of Lebanon in 1982; even the NY Times covered the story at the time.
