The Palestinian writer, Fayssal Hourani, who was born in al-Masmiyya al-Saghira in 1939, and was forced to flee at the age of nine years, in 1948, has written a literary testimony of five volumes, entitled "Duroub Almanfa" ("Pathways of Exile"). The entire first volume is about al-Masmiyya al-Saghira and is entitled "Alwatan fi Althakira" ("A Homeland in Memory") and was published by Shaml - Palestinian Refugee and Diaspora Center in Ramallah and The Institute of Jerusalem Studies in Jerusalem, 2004 (Second Edition).
