They lived together and were often attacked by zionist settlers prior to 1948 and in 1947 the germans had left the land due to the attacks. Before they left they sold furniture to the local palestinians and it was during this time that a jewish woman came down to Khadra Ghuneim and a german woman when they were trading and told her, "why are you buying the furniture when you are also going to get kicked out".
This part of the ghuneim family went back to saffuriyya after jews took control of the village and were later also removed from Saffuriyya.
