Thats terrible :(
Many historic buildings were also destroyed in this demolition. Among them Al-Afdhaliyyah School, Al-Zawiya Al-Fakharia, Al-Buraq Mosque, and Al-Maghariba Quarter Mosque.
On June 10 and 11 of 1967 Israeli bulldozers demolished al-Maghariba Quarter (The Moroccan Quarter). Hundred thirty five (135) homes were demolished in this Quarter. Israeli officials gave short notice to the residents to evict their homes, and some residents were buried inside their homes.
