HARET AL-MAGHARBAH (The Morroccan Quarter) in the Old City. After 1967 part of the the Quarter was completely leveled after the original residents were forced out, and then was converted to the Wailing Wall Plaza, The rest of the Quarter was renovated as you see in the photos to become what the Israelis label as the Jewish Quarter.
This picture is taken from the Mount of Olives facing West.
The rightside of the picture is the Southern part of Al-Aqsa mosque. The left part is the northern part of the Silwan.
this is not the jewesh section it is haret almaghabah and the road to almagharbah gate
What happened to haret Al-Magharibah, Housh Al-Shai, Daraj Al-Taboneh?
