What was found in this area are remenants of a Umayyad Palace.
I belive this the site of the abusoud zawia a religious compound of about thirteen houses used to be.those houses were buldosed in 1968. the abusoud family lived there for 1436 years when they came with the khalifa omar to jerusalem.these are the homes in which Arafat spent most of his early years since his mother belong to the abusoud family.it looks like Israel made a park out of it.I HOPE I will be one of the fighters when we liberate all palestine
