between 1940 and 1948 , we use to visit the Haram , we use to stay in their in the summertime. We would stay in one of the rooms within the complex. I remember people use to come from all over palestine to have the animal sacrife ceromony. And the visiting men would have a dance called "Ala-Dalhoner".

The woman use to come to the mosque to collect water from the well. they use to cook "Adas" and distribute to eveyone there. My gradfather use to take me to the top of the minaret to perform the ezan ( calling pray)
I also peformed the azan at the the age of 10. It was 16 miles from Jaffa, but father would walk along the coast from Jaffa to Al -Haram.
