A major battle between the Ottoman 8th Army and the XXI corps's 52nd (Lowland) Division and the 54th (East Anglian) Division took place after the Battle of Jaffa (21-22 December 1917) including the passage of the Nahr-el-Auja & The fight at Ras el'Ain (12 March, 1918, and 12 Sept, 1918) 162nd and 163rd Brigade

Many ammunition left-overs were still found here from the British-Turkish forces battle
