Deceit and cheat were part and parcel of the Zionist project in Palestine . Their project started with a big lie: a land without people for a people without a land. Palestine was never a land without people. 3000B.C. the Cana'anites settled the land and was named after them, the Land of Cana'an.
As a result of its unique geographic location, Palestine was exposed to an endless number of conquerors. After the Cana'anites, Palestine received an admixture of blood from each of the invaders: Egyptians, Hyksos, Israelites, Persians, Philistines, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Turks, Crusaders and others. Each of these invaders ca me and left and none of them have any right to claim the land as its own. Those individuals, of the different invaders, who stayed, settled down and intermarried with the original Cana'anites became an integral part of the natives.
In addition to the Cana'anites, two of the invaders, however, left a lasting mark in Palestine : The Philistines who gave their name to the land, and The Moslem Arabs who gave their religion and language to the majority of the indigenous people.
The Philistines and the Moslem Arabs settled down as residents in the land in large numbers and intermarried with the native Cana'anites and whoever intermixed with them. "The position of the Arabs in Palestine is unique. Unlike all other foreign conquerors, they did not hold themselves aloof but, instead, made converts of the natives, settled down as residents, and intermarried with them, with the result that all are now so completely Arabized that we cannot tell where the Cana'anites leave off and the Arabs begin". (Ilene Beatty, Arab and Jew in the Land of Canaan ? Political Rights, Chica go: Henry Regnery Co., 1957. Reproduced in Walid Khalidi, ed. "From Haven to Conquest: Readings in Zionism and the Palestine Problem until 1948", Beirut : Institute for Palestine Studies, 1971, pp. 3-23)
Moslem Arabs conquered Palestine in the year 638 and the land became an integral part of the Arab Moslem Empire. The Arabs settled in the land and mixed, intermingled and intermarried with its natives who were arabized and their majority converted to Islam. Accordingly, Palestinian Arabs of today represent the descendents of the original Cana'anites and who ever intermingled and intermixed with them through history including the original Israelites.
When Caliph Umar took possession of the holy city of Jerusalem , he ensured that the Christians remain in secure possession of their holy places and enjoy full religious liberty. Umar also invited the Jews, who had always been forbidden to reside permanently in Jerusalem while it was under Christian rule, to return to the holy city. Seventy families from Tiberias came to settle in Jerusalem , establishing a quarter for themselves beside the Muslim community at the foot of their old Temple Mount .Umar also purified the site of the ancient Jewish Temple, which had remained in ruins for nearly six centuries. Umar built a simple wooden mosque at the southern end of the cleared platform, where al-Aqsa Mosque now stands. For this piety, some Jews hailed the Muslims during the seventh century as the precursors of the Messiah. (Karen Armstrong, Journal of Palestine Studies, The Holiness of Jerusalem, Volume XXVII, Number 3, 1998, p.15)
According to the Zionists, all Jews of the world form one and the same nation. However, Judaism is a religion and not a nationality. It is a religion like Christianity and Islam. Accordingly, in the same way that not every Christian is a British or French, not every Jew is related to the original Israelites in any way. Many of today's Jews were a result of conversions to Judaism from different ethnic groups that have no relationship with the original Israelites in any way. The Ashkenazim, for example, carry a large proportion of Khazar ancestry in them. The Khazar converted to Judaism in the 7th century and, when they were driven out of their empire in Khazaria by the end of the 10th century, emigrated en masse to Russia and Poland , which be came a major source of Jewish immigration to Palestine .
Zionist invasion of Palestine started in 1882. At that time, about 8,000 Jews were living in Palestine as an integral part of the indigenous Palestinian Arabs.
Between 1882 and 1948, there were 6 waves of Jewish influx into Palestine. By 1948, the number of the Jewish community in Palestine was about 650,000.
The creation of the State in 1948 opened the doors wide for a large-scale influx of immigrants. This open door immigration was made possible by a number of factors without which it would not have been possible. Among these factors were the ethnic cleansing operations during the 1948 war, which forced the panic-struck indigenous population to abandon their homes and lands and seek refuge in the adjacent Arab countries. The Absentees Law as well as the Law of Return issued in 1950 facilitated confiscation of Arab homes and lands to build settlements for the new Jewish settlers. Moreover, financing of immigration and settlement would have been impossible without the agreement for German reparations to Israel as a state, and to the Jews as individuals.
After decades of Zionist efforts, Palestinian Arabs did not vanish into thin air. Palestinian Arabs living within the boundaries of British Mandate Palestine are more than 4 million versus less than 5 million Israeli Jews. Within a few years, the number of Arabs in Palestine will exceed the number of Jews.
To avoid becoming a minority, the Zionists began talking about a two-state solution: one for the Jews and one for the Palestinian Arabs in less than 20% of the area of Palestine : two little and too late.
On 27 November 2007, the U.S. sponsored a one-day peace conference in Annapolis, which launched another Israeli-Palestinian peace process. On his way back to Israel , Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stated: "Without the Two-State Solution, the State of Israel is finished." On 29 November 2007, Olmert told Ha'aretz that, "If the day comes when the two-state solution collapses, and we face a South African-style struggle for equal voting rights (also for the Palestinians in the territories), then, as soon as that happens, the State of Israel is finished"
A study conducted by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has cast doubt over Israel 's survival beyond the next 20 years. The CIA report predicts "an inexorable movement away from a two-state to a one-state solution, as the most viable model based on democratic principles of full equality that sheds the looming specter of colonial Apartheid while allowing for the return of the 1947/1948 and 1967 refugees. The latter being the precondition for sustainable peace in the region." The study further forecasts the return of all Palestinian refugees to the occupied territories, and the exodus of two million Israeli Jews - who would move to the US . The study further predicts the return of over one and a half million Israelis to Russia and other parts of Europe , and denotes a decline in Israeli births whereas a rise in the Palestinian population. According to Jeff Gates "Online reports of a study by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency cast doubt over the survival of Israel beyond the next two decades. Regardless of the validity of the report, with what is now known about the costs in blood and treasure that the U.S.-Israeli relationship has imposed on the U.S. , its key ally, Israel could fall within five years.(www.intifada-palestine.com 21 September 2009)
Irrespective of such reports, the reality of the situation is that Israel was created and supported by the Western Imperialist powers as an outpost serving their interests in the area. Such a service is not needed any more and Israel's role is over.
It is about time for the Zionists to realize the crime and the stupidity committed by them in Palestine . It is time for them to apologize and try to live with the Arabs as equal human beings with equal human rights.
