Here is an extract from a book (The Exiled And The Redeemed) written by the 2nd Israeli President, Yitzhak Ben-Zvi, citing his personal research concerning Palestine's Jewry who recently converted to Islam from Judaism. He actually went to the villages around Hebron and Jerusalem, and cited many notable families (such as the Makhamra -- مخامرة -- and Lahham -- لحّام) who openly confessed their recent conversion to Islam from Judaism. Before Nakba, that was openly discussed; there was no reason to be ashamed of such ancestry. But nowadays, that is a BIG TABOO subject to discuss:
Here are screenshots from Wikipedia's Makhamra family page. We highlighted the relevant portions. It seems two of the family members reverted back to Judaism:

This news clip from Palestine Post (now the Jerusalem Post) on page 8 --Dec. 21st, 1938:
The residents of Masafer Yatta, specifically the Makhamar family, have endured decades of intense daily terror from Israeli settlers. Despite this constant threat, they have historically refused to leave their land. Until recently, many continued their centuries-old way of life, living in nearby caves. The latest escalation involved Israeli soldiers violently attacking Mohammad Mousa Makhmra and forcibly removing him from his land in Masafer Yatta.
Here is a great documentary of some Palestinian Jews who still practice Judaism in secret. It was released by a group called "The Engagement," whose website was active until Oct. 7th. Here is the archived version:
Here is another video from the same group, "The Engagement," concerning the Jewish symbols Palestinians used for thousands of years in their homes, graveyards, and shrines. Note how they visited the looted and stolen homes in the village of Deir Yassin, just West of Jerusalem City:
The records prove many notable Palestinian and Syrian families (especially those in Damascus) are recent converts from Judaism. If this subject interests you, we wrote this article explaining how words have been erased and changed masters so quickly after Nakba of 1948:
For the love of God: why does Gaza's Great Mosque have a menorah in it?
Here is the JPost on how the Hashimite Emir Feisal's grandmother belonged to a Jewish tribe that recently converted. Here is the full article if you wish:
Here is the tragic case of Sameh Mohammad Abdual Rai Zaytoun, who converted to Judiasm from Islam in honour of his grandfather, who had saved 25 Jews during the 1929 Hebron massacre. At the end, he was murdered by the most moral trigger-happy army on March 21st, 2024. The video of his murder is on Wikipedia if you care:
If you care, here is an article by YNet in Hebrew about his story.
