Ethnically cleansing by Israelis

Although the villages of Sabbarin, al-Sundyana, and al-Fureidis were welling to surrender to the Haganah, they were mostly ethically cleansed upon occupation. Al-Syndyana Mokhtar along with his family and 300 other civilians stayed put and raised a white flag upon occupation. They were mostly expelled toward the Jinin areas.

Schools al-Sindiyana had an elementary school for boys founded in 1942/1943, and in 1945 it had an enrollment of 200 students.
Inhabitants place of origin The original village inhabitants came two centuries ago from the neighboring villages of Umm al-Fahm and 'Arraba.
Water supplies al-Sindiyana had numerous springs and wells which provided it with water for both domestic use and irrigation.
Archeological sites al-Sindiyana contained building foundations, and pottery and tesserae which have been seen on its surface in a nearby Khirba. Also the village had Khirbat Rusaysa, which contained mosaics, rock-cut wine press, and columns that suggested that it was inhabited during the Roman-Byzantine period.

According to the Palestinian historian Walid Khalidi, the village remaining structures on the village land are:
"The site is fenced in with barbed wire. Scattered piles of stones, the debris of destroyed houses, are visible among thorns, cactuses and fig, olive, and palm trees."
