The Indigenous People (Over 90% Of Citizens) Made It Clear: No More Jewish Immigration Will Be Tolerated 

Were the British so STUPID as to promise COMPLETE INDEPENDENCE to Palestinians in 1939 (who, of course, "didn't exist") while the Indians had been DREAMING of such a thing for 400 years?

A) Between 1936 and 1939, the Palestinian people started one of the largest anti-colonial struggles at the time in what became known as the Great Arab Revolt of 1936, and it was ignited due to the increase in Jewish immigration. Palestinians, like all colonized Indigenous peoples, feared imminent replacement and dispossession, which later became known as the Nakba.

In return for terminating the revolt and for receiving Arab support during WWII, the British agreed to impose severe limits on future Jewish immigration based on the White Paper of 1939, which effectively reversed the Balfour Declaration. Thus, from the start, the indigenous people (who made up over 90% of citizens and to this date still owns 94% of the lands) made it clear: those who were plotting to replace them would never be welcome. B) We were shocked to discover that the renowned banking family of Hamburg, the Warburgs, financed the resettlement of twice as many German and Austrian Jews as those who immigrated to Palestine. The Warburg family saved almost 90,000 German and Austrian Jews between 1933 and late 1941 in a little-known program called Hilfsverein, which the Zionists fought with tooth and nail.

In May 1939, MS St. Louis in Havana was refused permission to unload its Jewish passengers in Cuba & US, and it was forced to go back to Antwerp. The Jewish Agency refused to give any of its passengers immigration certificates to Palestine. Over 250 of those passengers perished during the Holocaust.

D) Even after WWII was underway, and before the Holocaust, Hitler kept Europe's doors open for Jews to leave, and that continued until late 1941. This explains why the majority of German and Austrian Jews had a high survival rate while other Jewish communities were decimated. Remember that most of those Jews weren't saved in Palestine, and the Haavara Agreement played no role in saving them. That was like indirectly funding the Nazis.

Sadly, many Jews, to this date, still conflate anti-immigration policies with antisemitism, which is unfair. The situation then was comprable to nowadays. Many nations are against the influx of refugees and migrants, although the world economy isn't in pain as it was in the 1930s. Despite the Great Depression, tens of thousands of penniless German and Austrian Jews found refuge in Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and the Americas, and that was at least 9 to 10 times as many as those who made it to Palestine from the same cohort, and the Haavara Agreement played no role in saving.
